I smoked 2 packs per day also.. and i have stopped it when i was pregnant. After my sons birth, I started again.
During many years I was like that. Finally, I realised that i became tired walking......and when was at the gym, ..and when riding the bike for making exercises.
So, one day, with a pack with 10 cigarettes in it i said .......not more. That pack stayed more than 4 months in my night table, I looked at it everydays, but didnt touch it .
That was the last day I smoked. and was more than 12 years ago. Unfortunatelly....I'm a passive smoker now, bcoz so many pple smoke around me
You only need strong will. Hope you can leave it as easily as i did.

Why quit?? i love it, i love it in the morning with my nescafe, i love it after a meal, i love it before sleeping, i love it while working,

no one come and tell me its bad, i know and i love it LOL

well... I have an example.. come see a relative of mine who's had two sets of chemotherapy... syrums & radiation.. Come see hima fter radiation... you'll quit & you'll become healthy...

It'll cause you lung cancer... u're smoking because it's what!! Fun!! ah, well... I rather read a book instead or make a balloooon with gum.... does it make you feel relaxed!!! let me ask you what does cocaine & valium do to the body!! ruin it & numb the emotional pain... does it make you forget about your problems!!!... I do have one thing in my mind that'll be too rude to post in my answer.... no insults or anything... just a thought... But I'll keep it to myself, i don't want anyone to get mad at me.....

try yoga...my Mom and brother both quit smoking like that and they have been without any smokes since 1998. And they both used to smoke 2 + packs a day

There's a perscription called Chantix that I've heard works wonders---for most people, within 2-5 days.

i used to smoke a lot but when i joined the gym(it was really a wonderful one with lots and lots of activities) i felt very old coz i was not able to finish any class and i was 21 years old while there were people with me over 50 who were able to finish any class they participate in,that was when i decided to stop smoking,now i might smoke 1 cigarette per day and some times weeks might pass without 1 cigarette,why don't u try to find your own fun thing that makes you stop thinking about smoking

there is a few way to quit like patches and stuff like that ...
But ive tryed them all THEY DONT WORK.

The way that i stopped smoking was very simple.

- Exsercise every day with respiration techniques with every movement.
-Run at least 30 minutes 3 times a week

from the first day i started smoking less and less within 2 weeks i stopped.

Yes, stress is known to play a major factor in smoking. The more you get stressed, the more you smoke. Have you been stressed lately? Work? Family? Lies?
If i were you, i'd try to stop whatever's stressing you. You'll be sure to cut down on the smoking afterwards.

I don't smoke but I have 2 friends who quit by doing acupuncture in the ear. It's not too expensive and the results are 70%. Ask about it.

I have tried 4 times and have failed... maybe I didnÂ´t try seriously enough.
I mean itÂ´s very hard, because I like to smoke. .
I have a very stressy job with so much responsibility, so sometimes things can turn up to be extremely hectic here and to calm down I smoke... also after lunch and dinner if I donÂ´t smoke itÂ´s like missing an important part of the whole meal.
Or having a coffee...
All my friends smoke as well and y husband too. So itÂ´s really hard to stop...
I would prefer NOT to smoke, it costs money, health and sometimes makes you feel even sick...
