Can i rephrase that, the friendships that lasted the longest were the ones that came by chance, not accident, i mean the chance of being there together at the same place and time, and we did pick each other. Who started it, well me Off course since i am over friendly and can talk with almost anybody. But it has lasted now for nearly 18 years, and though we lose touch for a couple of months (but that's life), when we do get back together its PARTY time, we sit there talking and telling stories and making up for lost times.

then there are friends who become friends as both of them are in the same class and start to get along as class mates n eventually becoming good friends...

as in my case cant say... i had a friendship which lasted for 7 year and we became friend thru a common frnd...

and i have a friend (this one i picked) which is in its 6th year...

i dont usually pick friends as im very consious abt people not liking me or my style or humor.. its very rare that i break the ice..

First it's God whom I always considered as my bestfriend, who been so good to me all this years of my life.
Second is my bestfriend since childhood till we gets old and have family. But so sad that she have passed away so soon.

and strangely enough, those whom i picked, our relations have failed, and we couldn't get along anymore, and hamdulliah i don't regret leaving them, though they do !!
(still, i'm not generalizing this idea)

and i always tell myself that those who choose and pick you, then you've to go with them, because they truely love you and want you, and always be to yourside when anything happens whether good or bad.

Mark, came by chance & in passing, he's my longest.
Jim, i chose when i heard him play his guitar the first time & fell in love, lol.
Suzi, i kind of chose, met her at school & she was so bubbly & alive, i just wanted to be her friend.

&&& i am lucky, they are real friends in all sence of the meaning.
