That is the zionist view,since the subject obviously makes them extremely uncomfortable, which is understandable given their ahem lack of standing with the international human-rights community. But - just as understandably - that is not the view taken by human-rights activists. We don't think there is anywhere near enough serious political discussion.

I don't think discussion of politics is a problem. I think the nasty hateful way people talk about politics is the problem. I have met several people on here who have such vastly different views from mine but we still manage to find a common ground, and I have learned so much from them, like Jim E, and Paulie for example. Do you notice they can give an honest answer as they see it to a question, and they do it respectfully and without being hateful. Look how sweet Paulies answer is on this question, and why does she have so many thumbs down (I gave her thumbs up ).
Do I agree with everything she says, no, nor does she agree with me. The difference is, I give her opinions the respect they deserve, because she is respectful, and I will do the same for anyone else who is respectful and not hateful in their answers, regardess of which side they are on. So, to anyone who wants to put their side across in a non-hateful and respectful way, have a hug from me x

Yahoo.com-Answers doesn't seem to mind--in fact it encourages politics in what is intended as a travel section. If there were an Israel Politics Section, the only ones who'd be there would be the Arabs!

A question asking if it's safe to visit Israel: 2.5% (They get quite a few of these don't they. And answers are going to be 2 ways, yeah visit it it's amazing, beautiful, or don't visit it if you value your life).

Questions about Israel in general (ie what this section is actually meant to be about): 1%

Pointless questions: 0.5%
