what a question?? I don't know! created by god and discovered by us??
It's the unseen dimension that was always there. The track upon which our lives roll along.
whatever, here's what better men said about time:

I love your philosophical questions. They need thinking. Well may I have breakfast first?
Time is there. Our brains are developed enough to perceive it. So it is not invented, it is discovered.
However the calendar and watches are inventions to measure time.
By the way in the Egyptian museum the first watch can be seen, it is an ancient Egyptian invention. It is a large alabaster cup with 24 marks inside one above the other. There is a tiny hole in the lower part of the cup. They filled it with water and by looking at the marks one could decide what time it is. There were errors of course due to faster evaporation of the water in the summer.

more and more is its way to be uncovered.
time in space is different from time in our planet .
it is time measured by light .
as the Quran says , there are more truths about our universe that will be uncovered when God wills it .

To show you how dumb I am , I always thought the native American Indians created time . but I know better now , I am sure it is Gods creation of the earth and how it moves.

The measurement of time was invented by people, though you could argue that the passing of time was discovered.

Actually time was created, time is life. However different means of measuring time were created by people.

Such an interesting question and field in general...

Time is very hard to understand although we have now all kinds of things that can measure it, Ahmed Zoweil, the Egyptian scientist, won the Nobel Prize for being able to calculate chemical reactions in the smallest amount of time ever discovered and calculated, the femtosecond. Time is a factor of life, and something that always exists and unaffected by anyone, or any creature on earth. The human being hadn't discovered time until only several thousand years ago, time was not something to worry about, or care about, but people have always known it is there, that factor that causes everything to happen. Imagine time had stopped, nothing is to happen ever in the universe. This means that if time stopped for a second, it will - from scientific view - never start again, because you need to start something to be able to finish it. To understand it try to imagine time as a wheel, and it is ever-rolling, until, of course, it stops, at the end of the universe.

This is all too hard to explain, but trying thinking "if I hadn't done that, how would I do that after it?" This always works to understand that things must take place in order, so Time Traveling will never exist outside humans' imagination.

To discover or invent something it must then get into ur mind, but as for time, that's not true. It could be decribed as "anything and everything in the world", cuz with out it nothing makes sense.
what is the meaning of some one getting transported between two places if there was no time elapsed in between (ofcourse we'r not considering the theory of relativity).
I am not claiming that i fully understand time, but i think i have a good idea about it.
