Weird question, How come every avatar in the South Africa section are white?

Affirmative action is a slow process.....Are you BLIND ?There is five coloured avatars on this page at this moment ! Nay ,SA Chic , Lorraine D ,Cheri and Alf Garnett's avatars is not white ! Go and join the A.N.C. or yahoo's trollpatrol ! Surely you'll be glad to know there is only 3 white avatars on this page ! WHAT IS WEIRD is the fact that we don't even notice it but it is important to you ! Go back to the Cultures and groups were you spend your time and do not come and stur on travel !

I guess everyone is free to choose their own avatar. Personally I'm a caucasian ("white" as you would say) South African, and I cannot speak for others.
What does it matter anyway? The ANC is the only organization in SA still obsessed with skin colour - the rest of us moved on.

The whites are still running the country . Thousands are leaving for over seas anually to live over seas because of the violent crime . So what will be the outcome be 10 years from now ........chaos .....third world life style

Smiley, thats not fair or nice. You said the same "You wish" statement on my avatar before I had my actual pic put here. I turned out to be lighter than presumed... The General can vouch for that as he's seen me in person. Who knows? Maybe Jeez is just as light as I am with a weave... or the limited hair styles for blacks dont make the choice simple.

I'm a black South African who is a few shades light. Its one thing I've never focused on though hey...? I actually didnt know Jeez was black 'til Smiley mentioned it (",)

But who cares how many whites, blacks, coloured or Indians are using this forum? At the end of the day, we're all a group of South Africans discussing issues that affect us as a country, without focusing on race (at least some of us)....

May I suggest you look a bitty closer. We are a rainbow section. Maybe you tend to overlook some of our regulars ? We represent all aspects of SA, from verkramp to verlig, from black to white, male and female, a variety of religions etc. Absolutely everything you can think of.

Go to the main topic pg of S.A and take another look at the avatars. Most are dark tan. I'd say it's an even count of colors.

No, it's a good question. I remember that Zim/Moloi used to have a white avatar and now Jeez is using a white avatar. It's quite funny. They wish!

The whites might have been kicked out of political power but they still have the clout that counts - the cash. Tried asking a resident of Alexandra if he has internet access? Most don't even have electricity.

I haven't had a chance to look around but the logical ( yet extremely old school answer I'll give is this. A lot of non-whites do not have access to a computer much less the internet. Apartheid and all that crap left left at a financial disadvantage and other than that there are not a lot of job opp. in SA and a lot of nom-whites ( and whites) do not want to wor. Also a lot are uneducated so they do not understand a computer. MAybe thats why!

Most of the South African population is white. Most of them have English heritage (from the UK).
