people are giving you a hard time, but i get your point. the whole history of the world is filled with invasion and occupation, that's just the way it has gone.

the arabs themselves have occupied 21 of their 22 countries, and in most cases treated the local indigenous people very badly. if you look at what they did in north africa, south asia, and other places, they were far more violent and brutal than anything israel could ever think of.

in any case, the occupation is a red herring. there was arab terrorism before the occupation, and since israel ended their occupation of gaza, the violence against israel from there has only increased. occupation did not create arab hatred and violence toward israel. the hatred and violence created the occupation. and when arab countries agree to stop the violence and hatred, the occupation will end, just like it did in the sinai when egypt signed a peace treaty with israel.

The Act of Union was the joining of England and Scotland, as Wales is a principality it does not have its own Parliament but an Assembly instead.
None of this resembles the troubles in the Middle East at all, so your analogy is ludicrous.

We (Scotland) are not controlled by England , we have a UK government based in London with elected politicians from our own areas , We also now have our own devolved government in Edinburgh which have financial and overall responsibility for areas like health , police , education etc
Why would we want to fight wars when we can change things in the ballot box . Our circumstances are nothing like where you are describing , we may have problems and disagreements but to compare the two is ludicrous !!

In Scotland most people see themselves as belonging to an independent country. They have their own parliament now. It has always seen itself as in partnership with and not 'taken over' by England. I think you need to rephrase your analogy.

You need to read more into this subject to understand that the comparisons you've just made are like chalk and cheese. Arab and Isreal problems are not related or similar more because of cultural differences. The English and Scottish fought many wars for centuries before the Act of the Union in 1707 which was done because of economical reasons ( Scotland was bankrupt)

England is a separate country. Wales , Scottland, are part of The United Kingdom. Which means they have their own gov. but the royalty just says Prince of Wales, to still feel they control all the world.

I was following you until you made the unconnected leap that Arab people have not evolved because they continue to fight for their rights.

I don't know what country you come from but this Arab attitude is one that people of all races and creeds for a millennium have aspired to.

I fully support the Palestinian people and believe that their bravery and honour will result in the expulsion of the German, Russia, Africa etc people from Palestinian land. I just hope that there will not be too great a loss of life.

Wales is not ruled or controlled by england it might have been back in the middle ages but not since the 17th century when we elect our our mps to represent our needs. Yes wales has been betrayed by the unite kingdom of Britain. Trying to kill our language and so on but things are changing and dramatically. Wales now has a fully devolved assembly which is practically a parliament and there is a campaign to increase it's powers which seems inevitable at the moment. Most young people in wales now see themselves solely welsh and want nothing to do with the Uk especially england as there is resentment for our horrific history with that dominating piece of land filled with mongrel genes. Our language is now growing back to it's former glory of being the majority language in Wales and rightly so. Welsh is spoken by no mre than 17% of people older than 55 but is spoken by more than 40% of people below the age of 15 which is an amazing recovery. Everything in wales is becoming ever more welsh and wales has something Scotland don't a strong language with the possibility of becoming the main language once again . Sadly English done the same with the Scottish languages highland clearances and so on and the same in Ireland , they robbed us of our land's murdered our men, rapped our wives. burnt our homes and they wonder why we are anti-english there we go . and now they are trying to colonize wales by byuing holiday homes and then us locals can't buy houses. Those folks didn't all quit and give up. The Irish are half independent and totally free.
