What's The First Thing That Comes To Your Mind?

when I say 'Jerusalem'?

I think of the Dome of the Rock. Most people do and when you type 'Jerusalem' up, the images of this beautiful building comes up.

Another question: Is this a Hebrew/Jewish name? I dont know how to spell it but its pronounced something like 'Ay-suh'

Current occupation by a weird melange of atheist zionists and religious psychos known as "ultra-orthodox". I have read many descriptions of it from before the 1948 seizure; it was beautiful city, now so surrounded by a circle of giant high-rise apartment complexes that you cannot even see the sun set.

SARA
Al- Aqsa Mosque which is the 3rd holiest Mosques in Islam and the first Qibla (prayer direction).

Isra'a an Miraj, the Magical journey of our beloved prophet Mohamed (saw).

My birthplace, my mom's birthplace and my grandmother's birth place.

I think of a city that could unite but instead seems to divide. If the three religions were in kindergarden, they'd all get held back a year for not having the social development to get along with others.

Yes, interesting the way Muslims felt it was perfectly fine to go and stick a ruddy great mosque slapbang on the very place where the holiest Jewish site had been...

Can anyone imagine the sheer madness with which the world's Muslims would respond if ANYONE, let alone Jews, DARED do that to one of THEIR holy sites???

When I hear 'Jerusalem' I think first of the Kotel, the remaining wall of the second Jewish temple. It was standing there before Islam EVEN EXISTED.

Oh - and I also think of how Jordan treated the Jewish and Christian holy sites when it controlled Jerusalem. Jordan turned their sites into HORSE STABLES.

Not familiar w/ Aisah, but it looks feminine from the spelling.

I think of the skyline of typical flat topped building, dome tops and the beautiful Muslim style.

My yarmulke has the skyline stitched in silver around it and it makes me think it has so much potential for peace.

My boyfriend bought it for me from Jerusalem.

I hear it first as JEWsalem.
