What I did (for my late G.F.) was simply to be available for her whenever she needed me (my support.)
She would always provide me the emotional "boost" I need when I sought her input. - I tried to reciprocate the help (emotional and otherwise) she provided me, again by making myself available for her.
Although, she would have such SIMPLE 'desires' (she was wheelchair-bound and had no kidneys; so she had to make repeated trips to the hospital for dialysis) I would make it a point to be available for her - in spite of the expense (emotional or otherwise) for her.
OH HOW IT MISS HER!!! :,-(
She made me / us so HAPPY!

Nothing just tell them how much you appreciate them and just be there when they need you. Telling someone how they make you feel makes them feel good inside which can beat any present. Do it over some chocolate of some cakes and have a heart to heart.

Dear Pinka,

In my opinion a best gift is always flowers (Roses) as flowers can really say and convey your feelings to the person what you can't explain with a very nice thank you card.

You know when I am giving flower to my love one without any special event just a surprise ROSE to appreciate his Love for me and the way he cares about my small small wishes I really can't explain his feelings and the happiness coming on his face that time……..

In my point of view To express your feelings Roses are best gift.

well, i guess it's not possible to give sth matrial in revenge. sure things like chocolates or any gifts can make a nice feeling for the person, but the best gift is to help when the person needs us. the problem that we not always have a chance to do so.
