This photo I found on Google best describes when I think about Israel, except that I envision it a little nearer than in the photo:

I don't know why, but I also see a Jewish woman I once saw in a book about Israel when I was around 10 years old eating sunflower seeds. It's so weird. |

I think of the olive trees. I visited Jerusalem 23 years ago, when I was 10 years old. I'm from the US (city of Chicago), so being in Palestine/Israel at that age was full of discoveries. I loved it so much. I would love if there were peace, so I could take my 10 year old daughter there.
Nice question! you get a star :D |

The first Image that comes to my mind in all honesty, is the image of the boy and his father docking to escape the jewish israeli bullets, then later on lifeless on the ground..
Or the Israeli Army bulldozer crushing Rachel Corey to death, leaving her body mangled with dirt and blood.
That's my image of Israel/Palestine. |

I'm really sorry Mr. Pitiful but really the first thing that comes to my mind is war and conflict. Peace! |

Jerusalem and the western wall... floating in the Dead Sea... Travelling through the Golan Heights... having a great night out in Tel Aviv... Having fun on the beach in Eilat... spending a night in the desert... hiking up to Masada....
Many nice people I have met... so many friends I dearly miss… my first holidays on my own (without the watching eye of my parents)... many great days and crazy nights I have spend there... First time I seriously fell in love and first time I finally ended up heartbroken... family members I miss so much...
And also: My identity and my dignity as a Jew! |

To be honest, nothing comes to my mind. I think of them as words rather than country. However when I hear Israelis/Palestinians I think of fight.
I hope we can have one peace one day.

There is no such place today as Palestine (or Palestin).
Israel, on the other hand, is like an oasis in a desert.
In developing a working definition of Christian Zionism, one can say it is a 19th and 20th century movement within Protestant fundamentalism that (particularly last century and today) supports the maximalist claims of Jewish political Zionism, including Israel’s sovereignty over all of historic Palestine, including Jerusalem. The modern state of Israel, as a fulfillment of prophetic scriptures, is regarded as a necessary stage prior to the second coming of Jesus. Christian Zionism is marked by the following theological convictions:
God’s covenant with Israel is eternal, exclusive and will not be abrogated, according to Genesis 12:1-7; 15:4-7; 17:1-8; Leviticus 26:44-45; and Deuteronomy 7:7-8.

I think of "Comical Cohen" that South African chap with the bad skin who is trundled out as the Israeli spokesman everytime another indiscriminate bomb killls innocent women and children. His excuses for Israel's shocking behaviour in Lebanon were particularly, if grimly, amusing. |

arrogance and violence perpetrated by zenophobic citizens & politicians (pick a country, they both participate in this behavior).
one country earns 17 times more per capita than the other one, which seems strange since they pretty much share the same geography. why the disparity?
crimes perpetrated in the name of religion which are strictly prohibited by those same religions. |
