in the city where I live someone was killed during the 4th of July because someone was having fun with a gun and shot it into the air. The bullet came down and went through some random person's skull and killed them. fun stuff, huh?

if we can't ask the palestinians, we might be able to ask anyone here in our country who shoots a gun in the air to celebrate/out of anger/for the heck of it.

I know the problem with shooting guns in the air is gravity, the bullets are going to come down.

what goes up must come down. maybe stupid ppl will stand directly under the gun they fired straight up into the air and be struck dead by their own bullets. this is darwinist evolution at its very finest, if you ask me.

Just be glad they are wasting their ammunition in such foolish ways... the irritating noise is better than the alternative.

To show they are "big." Just like Arabs who run to the fence with the rest of Israel, fire off a few rounds, and then run back to their little shacks in celebration.....it's a substitute for being in real combat-meaning it makes them feel like warriors or something.

By the way, by the physical laws of 2-dimensional projectile motion, those bullets are fired (from the horizontal position), probably at an angle of around 70-80 something degrees, meaning that the displacement of the vertical component is quite large (in an arc), when those rounds come down, they have a mighty fast velocity (velocity values between vi and vf). And they have to come down somewhere......down the street, through someone's head.

In short- b/c it makes them feel confident, and b/c they don't know physics (they are Arabs after all).

in the olden days, this is how everyone would communicate things. Like in the old west, if you were at a salon and you wanted your friend to come by, you'd fire 8 shots in the air, and they'd come a'runnin'. And if you got stuck up, or your horse fell and broke a leg, you'd fire 911 shots, and the cops would come. That's where our modern 911 phone number idea comes from. see, they aren't just making this up as they go along...they just watch too many john wayne movies (if that's possible).

Ha ha ha ha. Yeah we actually make fun of them all the time. I mean I am Palestinian but when I was in lebanon, whenever we heard a sound like a gun shot we said a Palestinian is shooting in Air. I think they get to be crazy. They release their anger in air. At least it is better than releasing it on innocent civilians right?

It doesn't solve anything and the characters firing their guns in the air aren't really looking to solve anything but the annihilation of Israel. Simply put as Forrest Gump would say about these guys "stupid is as stupid does."
