What's your view on Hizbullah?

Additional Details
It seems people are divided into 3 equal groups: those that support Hizbollah, those that used to support Hizbollah but now think they're too political, and those who do not support them at all. Follow up question: what's your view on Hizbullah's tactics?

I hate him and don't trust him especially this guy Hassan Nasrallah he is the biggest criminal in the world.

Eric Lachance
Its a political light terrorist organization.
They are controlled by a foundamental islamic Guru.
They are financed by Iran and Syria.
They are killing civilians in the holy land.
They need to disarm as soon as possible.

Tupu
Not civilized-no other words .
(sorry if it doesn't suits you , but that's my opinion)

Well , it's easy for me to comment because I am distanced from the situation & effects of all that has happened in Lebanon ...

That is not to say I am so obsessed as to believe I have any answers ...I can only comment as an observer who cares what happens to Lebanon & the Lebanese people .

It is my belief that paramilitary forces have no place in a democracy . Also that in a true democracy , religion , political parties & the judiciary need to be totally separate .If you look at democracies that have thrived , in every case this principle of separation is the foundation of society. When you integrate these basic instruments of what governs the society under one power then democracy ceases to exist.Look at the types of government in some Arab countries & see how this impacts the day to day lives of ordinary people in what they can or can't do in their daily lives & tell me this is democracy in action ! Of course it isn't & there is no pretence that it is ! They are fundamentalist dictatorships which take civilised behaviour back to the middle ages ! Is this what anyone seriously wants for Lebanon? If so , then say so !

well 1st i thought they were playing a good role when part of the south was occupied by Israel, and since the the Lebanese army is not that powerful i believed that those guys had all the right to defend their country, but now i think their role is over and the problem is they don't think so,as i see now they are supporting other countries and Lebanon has to pay he price of this,so for me i think they are destroying the country they have been defending before

I like to push for peace in the whole region; especially the Middle East area. All countries on this planet should promote peace and good living for all humans.

Does Hizbollah wants peace ? they make me wonder?
How come this "hizbollah" crowned itself this title : the party of god ?

I think that Islam is shattered by political parties such as Hizbollah - unfortunately in Lebanon : The lebanese people must come to terms to seperate STATE & RELIGION and learn more about understanding PATRIOTISM. Real Patriotism including Hizbollah members.

Itay Lahad
My views on Hizbullah:

-As long as it calls for the establishment of an Islamic state in Lebanon (and one that is inherently Shia, no less), then it can't be representative of Lebanon and its rich diversity of cultures and religions.

-Hizbullah is the child of the Iranian theocratic tyrants. Look at what good they've done for the people of Iran. Evidently, all they've brought is economic decay, intellectual/social imprisonment, widespread human rights abuses, war (in Iraq and between Hizbullah and Israel), and suffering.

-I am sure most of you are much more qualified to address this point then I am, but what good have Iran's handouts (vis-a-vis Hizbullah) done for the impoverished Shia of Lebanon? Is their economic or social situation nearly as good as that of the Lebanese Christians'?

-Hizbullah wants to do destroy Israel and is willing to go to war to gain control of the Shebaa Farms, even if this means the complete destruction of Lebanon and the deaths of thousands of innocents. That Hizbullah is so hell-bent on destroying Israel, regardless of what impact the consequences may have on the well-being of the Lebanese people is suicidal. What are Iran's handouts worth to you if they don't raise people out of poverty and if they instigate conflicts with Israel? From my perspective, Hizbullah doesn't give a crap about the Lebanese, only about the Iranians.

In short, I hate Hizbullah. From my, Israeli, point of view, they have done nothing but cause needless war and suffering between Lebanese and Israeli people. Believe me when I tell you that no one here in Israel has any expanionist goals for Lebanon and, certainly, no mother or father here wants to send his son to war, not in your country or anywhere. Seeing many good people here in this forum, I have faith that many people in Lebanon have the same hopes and aspirations for their children as we in Israel have for ours: a peaceful future filled with freedom, liberty, peace, and happiness.

the issue of any islamic group can be summed up only in view of Qur'an and authentic Sunnah. when you look at how 'hezbillah' proceeds do they do as the Prophet?. examples are:
-fighting in rows
-fighting with both armies on the battlefield
-killing ONLY the individuals they find with weapons

I used to blindly support them but now I see that they have lost their once honorable goal, now they are doing the biding of Syria and Iran and I don't like that,
they have a political agenda and I don't like that, they used to be fighters of Israel, but now they want to make an empire on the ruins of Lebanon,
unfortunate I must admit that I don't like them anymore they have turned from a resistance to a political power and when politics get involved the crap hits the fan and all hell breaks loss.
I just want a nice country like everyone else on planet earth and I don't want my country to suffer so that Iran and Syria can gain political leverage over the blood of my people,
F...K I hate Israel and the Bush administration and Iran but I love my country is that so bad :(
enough wars already I'm sick of it, let the souls of the Lebanese martyrs rest knowing that their sacrifice brought us peace and prosperity, not political sh.it may God forgive the Lebanese people we are so stup.id

These are the principles of Hisbullah's ideology:

*To expel Americans, the French and their allies difinetly from Lebanon, putting an end to any colonialist entity on our land.
*To submit the phalanges to a just power and bring them all to justice for the crimes they have perpetrated against Muslims and Christians.
*To permit all the sons of our people to determine their future and to choose in all the liberty the form of government their desire. We call upon all of them to pick the option of Islamic government which alone is capable of guaranteeing justice and liberty for all. Only an Islamic regime can stop any future tentative attemps of imperialistic infiltration onto our country.

I agree.

Dear ,
i am pro hizbullah as long as it is acting against the state of israel that discriminates between religions and worse discriminate between the jews.
