Usually a loin cloth with a g-string but when I am at home I lose the g-string. My wife wears an apron, only.
When we see a lion roaming in the street, we pounch on the poor critter and usually we have a party and dance around the fire when we kill the animal. This is good, cause now we get to have new clothes made.
After the fire dance we retreat to our shacks and break out our laptops which are powered by the truck batteries we stole off the passing truckers we hijacked and proceed to answer your questions here at Yahoo. |

Ha ha ha ha. I like Bad Brad's answer. Right now I am wearing my loin-cloth. I can hear the sound of a lion. I am gonna run............ |

They wear clothes! The clothes shops in SA are brilliant - very cheap compared to the UK. I bought several pairs of cullottes/wide legged cut off trousers last year - they were nowhere to be seen in the UK and this year they are all the rage in the UK - so I guess SA are a year ahead of the UK in fashion stakes. |

Well, the hunt did not go well this year, so I have not been able to fashion me clothes made from zebra skin. This means that I'm currently running around naked. They all give me funny looks at work ,with their designer lion outfits, but what is a caveman to do?
No seriously, South Africa is one of the best dressed countries in terms of wearing modern clothing. We have all the major designer labels here, from Gucci to Guess to Nike to Levi. We also have some very good local designers and shops that make clothes that are very fashionable.
In actual fact, many Americans that I've seen are a bit old-fashioned as compared to many South Africans. |

When I lived there, we wore grass skirts or loin-cloths. Wearing proper attire restricted your movement if you had to flee from the lions that everyone knows run free in the streets over there. |

Look out your window, look at all the people and how they're dressed... we're more or less wearing the same this side. Though I dont think a lot of women wear very skimpy outfits due to obvious reasons. Also certain ways of dressing are also reflective of certain cultures. Like the Tswana, once in a while our elder womn will wear "seshoeshoe" gear which was originaly German material we incorporated into our culture according to colour and stuff.... Then there's the Xhosa's who also have certain dress traditions, Ndebele women etc... Places like Sun Godess (boutiques), deal with these clothes and have mordenised them...
http://www.gautengweddings.co.za/customers/sun-godess
http://www.rebirth.co.za/traditional_african_clothing.htm
Most of these arent worn anymore, or worn in suburban areas or cities etc... they're mostly worn for traditional functions etc... or back in the very strict homelands, were clothes are representative of certain things....
Hope this helps. |

It rather depends where in S Africa you're asking about. In the major cities they where casual clothing (it's not a particularly formal society) but in the bushveld they wear safari gear! In most big towns there's at least one Woolworths but in contrast to this country's "Ladybird" mark image, S African Woolworth's is a cool place to shop and a lot of designers have ranges there. |

One store here is alot like Marks and Spencer and is called Woolworths (nothing like the woolworths in UK)
Normal everyday western clothing is fine. |

When I lived in South Africa I wore brown cord flares and knitted tank tops - but it was the 70s and I was only 7!!! They have the same fashion tastes as we do generally!! |

Leopard skin to cover just the important bits! Of course you don't want more than that, as it might tear when you run around the jungle hunting for food! Just kidding! We wear normal clothes just like any other country, although it might differ a bit because of the temperatures! Depends on what time of year you'll be coming over to SA! |

They wear clothes unless they are nudists. You become acclimatised to the weather so even though people in UK might find it warm you still need to wear Tshirts and shorts or trousers etc. In winter you will probably need a coat too |

Everyone in SA wears clothes. The country is huge and some parts have snow on the hills all year round. The days of loin clothes have gone...... |
|

We are all naked and happy, except for the old ladies - they wear grass skirts. The europeans wear used trash bags and we hear them squeaking when they try to sneak up and take our land....gotcha! |

Loin cloth and deer skins when it gets cold..... :-p We wear the exact same clothes people wear all over the world! jeans and a t-shirt for play, pants and a button up shirt for work, pyjamas for sleep, etc. |
