:-) I drink hot cocoa, or I stay online little bit, probably reading works for me the most cause eyes are getting tired and force me to close them.
sometimes i also do like i did to my sister few days ago when she was complaining she cannot fall asleep. i forced her to sit in the bed, and i corrected her pillow and afterthis she lay down and i covered her with the other side of the blanket - leaving the already warm side out. it brings a feeling of freshness and you can get rid off the feeling before. |

take something like benadryl since the diphenhydramine in it is an active ingredient in sleeping pills. or nyquil can also help. both can become addictive so take care when using it. and i don't like the woozy feeling I get upon waking, but it has been effective for sleepless nights. OR if you are in a place that is drug friendly like the netherlands make use of marijuana before going to sleep. You should feel more relaxed and able to sleep better. it's more healthy than tobacco anyway. Some kahlua and cream is yummy and relaxing as a night cap as well, but you might not drink so sorry if I've offended you. |

Take my duvet into the living room and try to find a boring TV programme. Unfortunately there seem to be lots of interesting programmes transmitted in the night these days! (if you know what I mean). |

Deep, deep breathing. In through the nose, feel your lungs expand, and then feel them collapse as you exhale. The rhythm and the sound of the breathing make me doze off very pleasantly. Or, this is trick I have used since I was a little kid: as you fall asleep, say over and over in your head: "OFF, OFF, OFF, OFF" and don't let any other thoughts or images creep in. It has always worked for me. |

you could try to get rid of the stress.Try doing exercise or play a match of football with friends and have fun.Forget about all the problems that you have at work.Let the steam out for once. When you think too much about a problem that's when stress decides to attack so forget about aall your problems aat least for one day but dont get yourself fired though. |

First off, avoid beverages with caffeine in them like tea and cocoa (yes, they do have caffeine). Second, if it is stress causing the problem drugs are a temporary fix. I have read it is recommended to sit down and write a list of what is stressing you, including best and worst possible outcomes and possible solutions. This helps you see that maybe the problem isn't as bad as you thought and also helps focus on the solution rather than the problem-once you feel you have some ideas about a course of action the anxiety eases. Benadryl can make you mildly drowsy to dispel remaining tension and is not addictive. Hope that helps. |

Booze and pills. Works like a charm. Of course the stress is still there in the morning and it's even harder to deal with when you're strung out and hung over. But who said life was meant to be easy? |

Then you have to eat , and - or play excersice. It works great for me, do some pushups and stomach crunch exercise under your bed until you start sweating, then go and take a nice warm shower, you could enhance this by eating a light meal before doing these exercise.
Avoid alcohol, you did not study the effects that it causes, believe me your body will be a waste in 10 years, i brought it to you directly before discovering or thinking about it late.
Good luck man |

I have heard that you should write down everything that is stressing you and /or that you need to remember to do the next day. Once you write it all down it should be off your mind and you should be ready to sleep.
I used to make up a story in my head and focus on the made-up story until I fell asleep.
