A slip of a girl faced one of "Israel's" most feared war machines in the Occupied Palestinian Territories-the armed bulldozer--and died. This deliberate killing was no accident. He had a mandate from his government to clear Palestinians out of their homes at a moment's notice and he knew that he would be protected regardless of the crimes he dared to commit. Rachel Corrie was a US citizen, but even the US government closed ranks behind "Israel" and the bulldozer operator. Being an American did not protect Rachel, and four years later, the US administration still refuses to investigate her death denying her American family justice and closure.
The bulldozer killing of Rachel Corrie was not the only case of such a death in Palestine, but it was the first time a US citizen had become the target of "Israel's" military. Rachel was a peace activist who had gonwho had gone to Rafah in Gaza because she wanted to help bring the terrible plight of the Palestinians to the notice of the world.

I know enough by listening to Al Jazeera and from http://www.palestineremembered.com . I also have watched Paradise Now which is based on a true story set in Palestine. It's horrible what the Zionists are doing over there. The original UN plan was 54% for "Israel", 45% for Palestine(UN cheated Palestine), and the remaining 2% for an international Jerusalem. But the Zionists got greedy and threw out all the remaining Palestinians and threw them into the sea. They stole land from Lebanon, the Golan Heights from Syria, and the West Bank and now trying to get Gaza from Palestine. They use innocent Palestine citizens as human shields so their soldiers don't die. They are denying Palestine citizens the right to life and citizenship on their quest to concquer the Middle East and steal more Arab land. They arrest innocent Palestine school children if they try to go to school and stand at checkpoints along Palestine roads. They rape women, daughters, mothers, sisters and then kill them. They refuse to release innocent Palestine citizens from jail but expect Palestine to release Zionists citizens from jail. That's not fair. The only reason Israel won the 1948 war was because Jordan copped out and wouldn't help Egypt and Syria. They cut Palestine women's eyes out without any drugs to numb the pain and they pose as Muslims in order to trick the Palestine citizens. They complain that they are getting attacked when all Palestine, and Lebanon are trying to do is defend their countries from being taken by force by the Zionists. Palestine and Lebanon aren't full of terrorists. They are trying to protect their lives, their homes, their families, their mothers from the ongoing genocide of Arabs and Muslims. It's a shame that the American Government doesn't realize what a threat Israel is to the world and doesn't realize that by funnling money and weapons to Israel they are setting up the stage for an Muslim/Arab Holocaust by the Jews in Israel. It's also sad how the Jews are employing the same tatics that Hitler and the Nazis performed on European Jews and millions of other innnocents.

wanderkind gave you a good answer please consider reading it.
Peace will only be achieved in the country when both sides stop hurting each other. I am Palestinian and I lived in lebanon for 13 years. As wanderkind said palestinians are not allowed to have 80 (the became 80 they are not 73 anymore) jobs. This is rediciulous.
Worldluv has a good answer too.

Wanderkind wrote: "And as for those Arab-Israelis smart enough not to have left their homes in '48 -- they enjoy far more rights than most Arabs. "
........

Many Palestinians did not have the choice. My maternal grandparents, my mother and my aunt didn't leave Jerusalem by choice. They were forced out, by rifle-point, and stolen from (home, lands, money, jewels, furniture) from Canadian and American Zionists newly arrived in their 'state' of Israel. My family was fortunate, because many Christian Palestinians and Muslim Palestinians were murdered on site.

How evil a group of hoodlums can become when they believe the myth that they are "chosen". Their Zionism excuses their terrorist acts.

Ultranational wrote: "If you ever see an Arab on a major news program in a debate with a representative of AIPAC or any person, even a Christian, the Arab ends up always, always, eating up his words, cause he failed to see a major flaw and falsehood in his argument that is found by his opponent. Arab logic is also famed as being among the most idiotic the history of the world has ever seen. "
......

You're wrong. Dr. Hanan Ashrawi (Palestinian Christian, political activist and professor in the West Bank), the late Dr. Edward Said(Palestinian Christian, professor and writer who became an American) and HRM Queen Rania of Jordan ( an ethnic Palestinian Muslim) have shared the dais and/or been interviewed with the best <sic> that Zionists can cough up in the U.S., such as the late evangelist Zola Levitt - a Messianic Jewish/Zionist, Elie Weisel, Daniel Pipes, Alan (got O.J off) Dershowitz and others.

These Palestinians were/are highly-educated with an excellent command of the English language presenting their points of view politely, rationally, deftly and convincingly. Perhaps that's why we in America don't get to see such discussions and interviews with Edward(for years before he died), Hanan or Queen Rania much anymore.

Elie Weisel, in particular, could barely speak in english, though he's been living in the U.S. for decades. His nasty, oft-repeated kneejerk remarks that brought up the ww2 "holocaust'(when it wasn't the subject of the discussion) melted when Dr. Ashrawi and/or Queen Rania responded. Apparently he's a one-trick pony, as his arguments were nearly the same when speaking with both ladies. One, a dual interview/discussion with Dr. Ashrawi and the other sharing a dais with Queen Rania.

Ultranational wrote: " Arabs are an ongoing joke in Israel and the rest of the civilized world- in Israel whenever someone screws up, in anything, for example forgetting to do something or doing something badly the saying is "What are you, an Arab?" And when something is done badly, like construction or a paintjob on a house etc, the saying is. "This is Arab work."
..........

If I were you, that isn't something I'd share. It speaks volumes about the sense of entitlement and racial superiority you and those like-minded feel and the racism and de-humanization against another people.

A few decades ago, many white Americans were saying the same things about African-Americans, darker-skinned ethnic white Americans and by gosh, even Jewish Americans. In the U.S. we had the civil rights movement and through actions civil, political and social, we've changed and continue to improve, realizing that all Americans are equal under our Bill of Rights. Racism has no place in America, but of course it does have a place in a Zionist "state".

As an American and taxpayer, I can only hope enough of us are heard by our representatives and that they can overcome, somehow, the powerful and corrupt Israeli and American Jewish lobbies, to vastly reduce our over 5 bil. a year in aid to Israel (which does not even include the black budget). America should not have to support a socialist welfare state whose creation was/is inherently racist and religious because it is apartheid based on zionism; and also has nuclear bombs illegally, practices military expansionism and does not respect U.N. laws.

STOP, we need to look at this issue logically. Both sides are hurting eachother, both sides are in pain, both sides are pointing fingers, both sides need a solution. Step back for just a moment from what you feel is wrong and how you feel you have been hurt by the other side. Don't you realize that we need to work together in peace and love in order for both sides to stop hurting emotionally and physically. Wipe the slate clean for a moment and put yourself in the other side's shoes. Arabs pretend you are Israelis, Israelis, pretend you are Arabs, look clearly at the situation the other parties are going through. Now offer a clear solution. It is so obvious that it seems to always pass us by. I love Israelis, I love Palestinians, and all people. Why? Because we are all from the same creator, we all want to live in peace and we all have an idea of what type of peace we want and how it should take place. The only problem is that not all of us are working toward that peace. Okay, so this is a fight for land. We all need a place to live right? Why not just live together since Palestinians and Israelis are already living under one land. To me, life is so much more important than land. It is like fighting over money. Who cares? In the end, we will have to come face to face with God on judgement day and tell him why we were so petty.

all is now is the problem with land and who has the rights to live on it and who is afraid of who is living on it the land situation with that of people who are from Palestine are all not bad like some Israelis are not bad but those who make it bad are those spoil the bunch of apples.

people of Palestine has no place to go or govern there own country but people who are able to live side by side as neighbors and share the same land and live on it and celebrate there own heritage should have a entitlement for that Israel on one hand has been always claiming land
for years where does the Palestinians live and be in a community ? where are these people pose to go?.( if these people own most of the land that were Palestinians owned
then I can see a Israel fighting to be on a piece of land on which was taken away from them>. it is the Israeli who stay on there piece of land while the other one is being driven off
for all kind of reasons

What nonsense! You may recall that those Arabs who lived in the small part of what was once Palestine -- and has become Israel -- and stayed put, are now full citizens in the most advanced and democratic country in the Middle East.

Those Arabs who remained in what was to have been a Palestinian Arab state continue to be exploited by their fellow Arabs. Who never permitted such a sate to come into being. And so, the only place called Palestine today is a city in Texas!

Once you and your friends realize that, and concede that Israel IS REAL, then we can get somewhere.

You fight terrorism by making it ill-advised for terrorists to do their thing. You kill them, you punish their families--especially their parents. You destroy their homes. You confiscate their property.

There is no argument against this approach. It will be effective against the overwhelming majority of terrorists.

Some Israelis have no harts at all and they ignore the right of Palestine to exist historically and politically. Those Israelis have no place to live among us they should go back to the racist societies where they came from.

I do know about the oppression and humiliation of Palestinians because I've been there several times and seen it with my own eyes. Of course I don't believe in suicide-bombing either. What I support, is international laws followed by ALL people, regardless of where they live or who they are. I also believe in justice and peace for everyone. Unfortunately there is a lot of biased media and covering up about what truly goes on in Palestine and Israel.

I think if the USA stopped heavily financing the Israeli military, and the world pushed for international laws be followed by everyone there may finally be peace in that volatile area.

If by "humiliation" you mean "inconvenience," as in being stopped at checkpoints, then I say that SAVING LIVES of innocent Israelis by preventing Palestinian bombers from crossing into Israel trumps Palestinian convenience.

No one has a *right* to cross into another country-- the terms of entry are a decision made by each sovereign nation, and if Israel deems that Palestinians are endangering their safety, proved by frequent attempts at terror attacks, they have every right to maintain whatever security provisions are necessary to protect their own citizens. Only after Palestinians renewed their terror war in 2000 did restrictions on movement become severe, and they would ease virtually overnight if Palestinians would stop trying to murder Israelis.

If by "humiliation" you mean that despite a hundred years of Arab attempts at ethnic cleansing, they still haven't been able to remove the Israelis from their homeland, I am not even a little bit sympathetic.

As for oppression, I know that the Palestinians have been at least as oppressed in Arab countries than in Israel. Why don't you ask the Lebanese or the Syrians why Palestinians in those countries are not allowed to move about freely, and why they are not permitted many types of work (in Lebanon, 73 jobs are specifically forbidden to Palestinians). Palestinian movements in the territories are restricted because terrorist gangs try to murder Israelis every chance they get--but surely that's not the case in Arab countries? What excuse do the Arabs give for oppressing their Arab brethren?

And as for those Arab-Israelis smart enough not to have left their homes in '48 -- they enjoy far more rights than most Arabs. They are citizens, with the right to vote and rights of free speech-- something they could not find in any other Arab nation.

HopelessZ00
Unless a person lives under a rock in the middle of some far off unknown desert name then I think they would know nothing of the crimes that the extremist zionists do. As for blaming all Jews , that would be the same as saying that all muslims support al-quida(mind the spelling). God with the Palestinians. And plz all remember, "An eye for an eye, makes the whole world blind."
Ultranational: I've read quite a few of your comments. I'm sorry that you seem to have so much hate and anger. God willing you will be able to let it go and have some happiness in your life. Until then you will never make peace with the Palestinians or yourself....

Wow, I guess many live under rocks...

the leaders of the palestinians, looking at their own interests rather than those of their people, refuse to make peace.
making peace will force them to deal with the real issues of their people, such as health, employment, education, infrastructure and such. it's much easier to just direct all the frustration at israel (and steal a lot of their nation's money)instead of helping their own people.
all the palestinians (and other arab nations) have to do is accept israel's existance as a face and declare peace on israel and the area will be one of the most prosperous areas in the world.
if it were up to the "little people" peace would be very feasible. i saw it last night when i went to a wedding of the daughter of an arab friend where everyone was happy and celebrated life together.

You have partial facts.

Islam and Christianity, the "daughter" religions of Judaism, have hundreds and thousands of years of war and suppression to their names. The original, Judaism, is peaceful and never made a religious war on those who believe differently.

You have, of course, the Crusades as the prime example.

The reason for the conflict between Israel and the Arabs is that the Arabs, plain and simple, refuse to accept a Jewish state in their midst. They invented this whole idea of a "Palestinian people who deserve a state" just to use as a tool to dismember Israel.

Arab violence against Jews has been going on long before there was an occupation, long before there was a refugee problem--indeed, long before there was a political Zionist movement. Need I present more painful examples? Perhaps even further back, where I hope everyone will agree that the Zionist movement did not yet come into being:

In the centuries after Muhammad there have been periods when the Jews were able to live in relative peace under Arabs, but their position was never secure. They were generally viewed with contempt by their Arab neighbors, and their survival was always predicated on their abject subordination and degradation to them. Mass murders of Jewish "protected people" started in Morocco as early as the eighth century, where Idris I wiped out whole communities. A century later Baghdad's Caliph al-Mutawakkil designated a yellow badge for Jews (setting a precedent that would be followed centuries later in Nazi Germany), and synagogues were destroyed throughout Mesopotamia in 854-859. In Tripolitania, Jews were considered the property of their Arab masters, who would bequeath the Jews to their heirs upon death. In the 12th century, after anti-Jewish riots, the contemporaries commented that their population had 'greatly declined.' ( Middle East Digest, September 1999)

As to how to solve the problem, the only way would be for Israel to defeat the Arabs overwhelmingly, and then dictate the terms for peace. Otherwise, the Arabs will never stop trying to destroy Israel.

Michael z
the only oppressions and humiliation of any people in israel are by arabs to jews.
they steal and rape and destroy anything and everything.
they are loud and arrogant and don't know their proper place - who is the master of the land and who is a guest.
they are all potential terrorists until proven otherwise.
israel goes out of it's way to give the arabs more than any of the previous regimes ever gave them (for example under the jordanian rule the arabs weren't allowed to open universities but israel did allow it - and the arabs have turned them into terrorist breeding stations)
by the way - there is no such place as palestine. there is no such people.
the people that call themselves "perestinians" - in honor of the israeli arab loving prseident who hepled invent the word - are nothing more than muslims who immegrated from jordan or saudi arabia seeking relief from the persecution of their arab brethren.
