I don't like to be rude to them, these are people trying to make a living, it's their bosses that I get annoyed at.

anyone I always have the same answer, " sorry, bad timing, I can't get involved in anything right now"

of course you can always do the classic Seinfield thing and ask them for their number or do what my son does: " I'll listen to you if you sing with me: "baa baa black sheep".

Act like you are someone else, and say, "ohhh, I'm sorry she is deceased" and they will automatically take you off the call list.

just pretend you cant hear them just be like "hello, hello?" and then hang up it a lot of fun

First of all, make sure you have registered with your state 'no-call' list if you have one in your state. When they call, sound interested (but be careful with your words), and get their information. Most will refuse to give it to you, but insist that you will not do business with them unless you can contact them because you do not know if you can trust them or not. When they finally give it to you, call the attorney general on them. They almost always actually get in trouble. Unfortunately, even if the state fines them, you will never see the money, but it really saves the headache of getting an annoying phone call when you're taking a well-deserved nap or bath.

Telemarketers cannot hang up on you, so have a little fun with them. Read them the phone book. Tell them a story. Make up some obscene situation and ask their advice.

oh dont remind me,they call when im asleep most of the times,and most of the time i tell them that im very busy....well unless if the sound on the other side belonged to a sweet young guy and im not busy then i will listen and at the end i will tell him:"i will think about it can u call me later"

Other times I say I'm the house servant and that nobody else is at home!!!

*My phone shows the number of the phone that is being used to call, so if i do not know or recognise the number, i normally do not pick up the phone!!!

I thank them for calling, saved me a call, as I was just about to call them. I then try selling them something and ask them to send me money, it's great.
