i respect them, and when we do have Palestine back, i wouldn't mind letting them live there and worshiping as they wish.
thats how i think things should have started off. no one would have said anything if the jews moved into Palestine queitly and respected the people who were already living there.
we'd still have peace if they would have done that. after all the christians and muslims were living togther just fine.
it all goes back to 'ahil el ktab'...

Regarding anti-Zionism among Orthodox Jews, 99.9999 percent of Orthodox Jews do not oppose Zionism. It is only the fringe lunatic element called Neturei Karta, with a membership of 20 people, who oppose Zionism.

The Neturei Karta, a tiny splinter group, has been condemned by every other Jewish group, from the non-religious to the very religious.

The non-Jewish world should be aware that they speak for no one but themselves--not for the Zionists, not for the anti-Zionists.

I respect them, but I do not think they should befriend people like Ahmadinejad, who openly declares his hatred for Israel and who desires to destroy it by any means.

NK Jews actually went to a rally where Ahmadinejad was talking about the extermination of Israel and the Jews, and supported him. Rabbi Hirsch and Weiss, their most prominent leaders, are recognized by other Jewish communities as psychopaths. They're self-hating Jews, I think, who hold as a belief that once Israel is 'exterminated' the Messiah will come.
'Xpunkie' Muslims have never actually lived in peace with Jews or Christians in my (or my parents') lifetime. Saudi Christians get arrested for being in possession of a Bible. Maybe in Biblical times everyone lived in peace, but there is no way of knowing.

That's the NK, there are only a few hundred of them and it is split into 2 groups, this is the smaller of the group since the other would never wave a Palestinian flag (they won't wave an Israeli flag either). There have been calls to excommunicate them since they are friends with people who want to kill Jews

I think that these people are crazy, and very confused. Note that I do not call them "crazy" because they support a Palestinian state; I also support a Palestinian state. I call them crazy because of their interpretation of Judaism and pandering to global anti-Semites.

So, everyone who gave thumbs down to people who said that these people are not representative of Israelis or Jews in general apparently doesn't believe that. Apparently, you believe that a few hundred unltra-extremist, over-emotional, self-glorifying people represent real Judaism. I feel sorry for you. I once watched an hour-long speech by two NK rabbis on youtube. I believe it was called Judaism vs. Zionism. I've tried to find it again, but I haven't been able to. If anyone knows how to get it, please email me. I found them very interesting and their arguments from their own Jewish perspective compelling.

If they are NK, then they are simply religious Jews who see the current secular state as getting int eh way of the coming of the messiah -- once the civil state would be dismantled, the messiah would come and remove all the Arabs and then establish a religious state. The "support" for Arab causes is just a means to an end. I don't personally agree with their methods or understanding.

Thanks for the thumb down first. Second, those people are strongly against violence, killing and humilating people. And as I understand Judaism, it is a peaceful relgion. I don't think G-d is happy with the zionists when they go kick people out of their homes, deny their identity and their suffering and act like innocents who are defending themselves. The zionists occupied land that wasn't assigned to them by UN and that was a crime. The result of what they did was that millions of innocents became refugees and thousands of them are living under the poverty line. Do you think G-d or the Torah are happy with that?
I don't claim to understand Judaism more than you but I know what is a crime and what is not.
