STOP THE INSANITY!!!!!
Just erase all those other answers! they're too confusing.
back and forth
education
experience
education
experience
it's enough to drive you mad!
I will tell you now the answer to your question:
Experience!
Education is bullshit. It doesn't teach you how to learn, just fills your mind with facts that may not be true even as you learn them much less years later. Experience is what you gain from the process of learning. It teaches you observance and confidence in decision making as well as the most valuable lesson of all: how to make mistakes.
Mistakes are your best teachers. Without them there is no knowledge only hearsay. |

Well..........I dont agree with most of the replies here...
For me is much more important the experience.
Here the majority talked about experience after study.
But I think our experience starts when we are babies.
I talk about all the experience a life needs.......not only the experience to get a new job or to get a promotion.
All our lives are based in the experience.
We learn from it.
We havent to understeemate pple that havent a college degree, bcoz many of them reach high levels in life and jobs, only bcoz of the experience and common sense. There are things that books cant teach.
Of course that education helps............but for me, experience is first. |

I think that education is very important so that one can get a job. Where as experience makes us who we are. One can read a book about Lebanon and think they have and know all the facts. But without experiencing it, they can never have the feeling. I think both are important.
Nice question GH , Cheers! |

Experience is important. It is a lifelong endeavor and starts early and goes with us through our whole life. Education is helpful to experience because it can help widen our view or give us a deeper perspective to our experiences. But education is not the end all, be all, that some people make it out to be. |

Interesting question Ghanouge......occasionally you excel yourself !
I believe both are important but neither are of significant benefit unless a person has the mindset to learn , grow & the desire to use knowledge .
You can have all of the knowledge in the world but if you lack the will & drive to apply it , what's the point !
As far as rating the two , I believe training through education is important in that it gets you on the first step of the ladder but ultimately it is through practical hands on experience that we progress in all aspects of life , not just the workplace. |

I'd say experince cuz u can learn alot from what u've experinced from life & be a better person and be wise too! |

Essentially both.....
However, I would have to lean towards experience.I believe that one can learn a significant deal through experience and manage to survive in life....but education alone will not get you very far....its a major building block but it can by somewhat replaced by rich experience...
Coincidentally, many of the world's most successful entrepreneurs and millionaires haven't received a full or proper eduction ;-) |

Experience because you can learn to do anything by gaining experiece. You can study about doing something but when it comes down to actually doing it, it's not quite the same. |

I think Experience is more important, Education can take you so far but at some point education stops. Experience is a lifelong process. |

Both. Education is essential and is short-term while experience is generated out of life long interaction with the world and is a form of self-education. |

both.they complete each other.
but in real life u see people success without education.education is like basic to u.it help u learn good manners and teach u to be on the top(enthusiasm).it help u know ur rights and ur obligation.but that isn't all .whats really important that people who are educated can work in really important job bcz he studied in college and that what cant have a person who has just experience.bcz no matter how much he is good he will never take an important job like that college person. |

Experience, cuz you can study all your life but still can't get it right on the field.
you know what I'm talking about...this thing you're thinking about cannot be studied in a book, you can watch a video about it (it helps) but practice, practice and practice is the key. |

it all depends on what stage in ur career u r.
if u r 18, uneducated and unexperienced, i am sure u wont get a job easily.
education is what gives the basics on how to do things, or as we call it "the know how", it gives u the basics so that u know h to search for some information, and learn about it.
mid career both education & expereince are of same importance.
when u need real skills u need expereinced people, those who have done it, excelled in doing it, so u search for experience. so it all matters, but i believe education will speed ur learning process in ur career. |

Education is always important.
Experience comes after education.
They complement each other and make you a better person. |

Both is like a coin one without the other will not take you far.
Education gets you the job, experience gets you the money. |

1st a star for ur good question, 2nd i missed u , 3rd the answer :
I think both are important , we can say education is like a piece of land which u will build ur experience on it. so its important to have good tuff piece of land ,
also ur building must be tuff and u must build it floor by floor and try to learn from each floor what was the mistakes and change it , and leave just one floor for me :P |

good eduaction will lead to a good Job with a good salary and this way u'll gain a good experience ! |

both affect the other ;
without education, you won't be able to gain experience. and vice versa; without experience you won't be able to gain education. |

Nowadays thats a tough question. Most people find that its a catch 22 situation.
You need a good education ( results ) to get anywhere now , but employers still look for experience . You cant get a job because no-one will give you experience.
As far as the big wide world experience wins hands down.
Brains are no good if you have't got any life skills , common sence , logic or your not street wise !!!
You will get chewed up and spat out. |

I think it is your interest that makes things important. You should be expert and proffesional in any field. If you are like this, you can tackle any situation related to that particular field as you are then knowing A-Z of that field. education, in some field considered as to have more oppurtunity to have a good job. |
