Abortion in the main has become a matter of convenience for women ...giving them the " choice " as to whether to put circumstance & lifestyle ahead of the life of an innocent unborn.

Women have been sold a lie & fallen for it hook , line & sinker ! They have been told that a foetus is not a human life yet it , like you & me , has been created by God in his image & has all of the characteristics & individuality right from the earliest point of its' creation.

In our modern age it has become all too easy to discard a baby ...to decide that it doesn't suit our circumstances even though it was a personal choice of ours to concieve in the first place. Before anyone even considers going down this path they should see just how developed a foetus is ....it's physical features are all there , it's potential is all there .

I would only accept abortion if the mother's physical wellbeing was at risk ...for no other reason . I used to think pregnancy resulting from rape was a valid argument , that was until I heard the most powerful argument put to me against that & it came from a young lady who was the result of her mother being gang raped !

My argument evaporated at that point because she devoted her life to speaking to kids in high schools telling her story...how her mother resisted the compelling temptation to go down that path & how she nurtured her daughter , hid nothing from her , but added value not just to her life but to all of those this young lady has been able to educate on the aftermath of abortion .....the physical scars , the overpowering emotional scars !

The actual process of termination is horrific ! In many cases it involves actually dismembering the living foetus ...can you even begin to imagine someone doing that to a living creature , at alone a child ! I have actually counselled a young lady who went through this experience & saw it all ..her anaesthetic failed & she actually heard her daughter , yes , HER DAUGHTER , scream! Can you imagine what she is now living with ..?

Young ladies , please don't follow the so called easy option ...life is precious

This is a question that the whole country is asking so don't feel like you are the only one. Don't have sex before marriage for a couple of reasons. What happens to the baby if you are pregnant, who will take care of it, and will you be able to afford it? Sex is between a man and a woman who love each other and it happens after you are marreid. Let me ask you a question. Where would you be if your parent(s) aborted you? I think it is great that you are not pregnant nor are you planning to be. Save it for when you get married to the person that will love you for you and not only for sex and will be with you the rest of your life.

I'm against abortion! If you can't afford to raise the child then adopt him or her to someone who will love them. It might be a mistake for the parents but life is never a mistake to God. Every person is precious to him.
If the child is sick then chances are the baby won't survive anyway and i would rather grieve a child i had and died then spend the rest of my life grieving a decision like abortion.

I agree with abortion in some cases.
As you said, some cases admit (in my opinion) an abort.
For example:
- if there is any risk for the mother's health
- if some anormallity has been detected in the fetus
- if that "son" is product of a violation

To be sincere, if someone cant afford another kid, or to get pregnant by "mistake" arent good reasons for abortion for me.
In those cases, the mother always has the possibility to give the baby in adoption to some couple that cant have kids. She will help someones to be parents, without kill an innocent life.

Of course that I'm conscientious about cultural limitations in some countries. Many countries wont accept a pregnacy in a single woman, and in this punctual cases, to protect a woman's life i also agree with abortion.

Abortion is a global problem, it's not only related to some countries. Why Lebanon cant be worried about it also? So....Why not to post this question in Lebanon section?

Abortion is murder... this is a child no matter how big or small.. if it is even one day old then its still a child that god gave life to. To kill any human is murder... If someone cannot afford a child then they better watch it when having sex and if someone is preg without a husband well then if they followed what the bible says they would not be having sex before marriage. I dont see how anyone could think abortion was not murder under any circumstance. :)
oh one more thing... why should anyone have the "choice" to murder? They should not.. this is somthing brought on by satan.

I don't know where i stand in this.. i agree with Kate but I also agree with you and Hallambra.. we should accept what God sends us but also we have to think realistically and think about consequences..

I am neither against it nor in favor... I believe its every ones very own personal decision.

I think under certain circumstances like health of the mother etc it is OK but from my heart I think one should try its level best to avoid it.

Its like a divorce, though its allowed in all the religions but one should try its level best to avoid it.

I am against abortion, because when ur aborting ur murdering an innocent helpless small human bieng thats what u r doing, and just that u've never seen them b4 doesnt meen u have the right to kill them, if u cant afford raisin a baby then buy some condoms murder is not the solution. Since life begins at conception, abortion is akin to murder as it is the act of taking human life. Abortion is in direct defiance of the commonly accepted idea of the sanctity of human life

I'm pro-choice. It should be the choice of the woman. I also doubt your claims in this post. It reads like a fake revelation to me... so many people make disingenuous claims here, most are easy to spot.

i am pro for 2 main reasons

if u were to get raped brutally and u got pregnant, the last thign u want is a child on this earth that will neve rknow their father, their father is a rapist, and everytime u look at him/her u remember that horrible incident

also if u know the child will be born with defects or if the child's birth can harm the mother in any way its best to just not have the child

the second reason is the one time in Islam that u can have an abortion
if giving birth could seriously affect the health of the mother.

When it comes to not having the money for the child, i dnt agree with that, i woudl keep the kid and it would be like my own personal test kinda from allah swt if he gave m a kid i cant afford to have its like to see how would i act and deal with it. im sure half the people in falasteen and lebnan who have kids cant really afford them all

But im also for the fact that people need to wait until marriage for sex, i hate how open society is about having sex before marriage, its a sin, its haraam , people should not do it!!! why have sex with somebody u have no tie or commitment to, u wouldnt let a stranger u didnt trust jump on ur new car and rub all on it then why would u let a stranger u dont know or trust well enough to marry jump on ur body and rub all up on it? u wouldnt pass around ur most prized possesion to a random person then why pass around ur body? its the most cherished thing and people need to learn to take care of it

if people waited for marrigae this wouldnt be that big of an issue. but when it comes to something like rape then yes we do need abortion because i know for sure if i were in that situation i dont want to put that kid trhough years of turmoil and deprive him of a father and a normal childhood, while im constantly reminded of the horrid act done upon me by that man

but im afraid if its legalized people will have premarital sex or sex with poeple other than their partners and not worry about consequences, which will make Zina widespread, even more than it already is

I am Pro-abortion but, I am with Angelo on this one.
It is illegal in the US after 3 months due to it being dangerous for the mother and the baby.
I believe in it due to :
- a woman can be raped
- some people cannot afford to have children (though I hate it used as a method of birth control)
- sometimes you can detect birth defects early that may prevent a hard life for the child.
- I don't believe everyone should go rampant and start having abortions - but I do believe that the choice should be there for the woman.

I believe that abortion is a very personal decision. We never want to go back to the days of back alley abortions. Women were subjected to dirty unscrupulous conditions that maimed or worse killed them. We must always remember these women are our mothers, sisters, cousins, aunts and friends. This is important to keep in mind. Would you want your loved one to be subjected to the horrors that many suffered at the hand of some quack who was just in it to make money without any thought to her safety?
