That's bad..I don't like any speculation into others affairs to be honest..its to be avoided...and its usually a mistake anyway..I mean most of it is lies usually anyhow, just to have something "juicy" to say.
Recently I unsubscribed to a certain email group because the members were gossiping about another Muslima in the group who recently had marital difficulties. I don't want to be around those kinds of people.

gossip or praising?
praising someone who is honorable is different.. and that i think is okay.. especially if the women is a good person..or modest about her accomplishments.. but if you are speaking more spifically the honor that she has for herself..? then that is an extremley mor personal matter... it is not anyones business.....

but to gossip is 7haram.... it is frowned upon.. it is just an excuse to feed off others lives beacuse their own is not intersteing enough. and
that is when it is not okay..
