I think Israel has anti-missile countermeasures, so hopefully they'll shoot the ICBM down or intercept it. Anyway western countries would retaliate, even Russia I bet.

The best way to combat a nuclear threat in this case is a preemptive strike. Hinder their ability to create a weapon, weather it be by force or other means such as financial. None of these are likely to happen. The way I have seen it is that a Nuclear weapon is not supposed to be used as an actual weapon per se, but more of a bargaining chip/leverage. "The best weapon is one you never have to fire."

Iran in more than one place expressed the non concern of this kind of weapons
so many countries have nuke weapons and went into wars but they did not use these weapons such as the former soviet union in his war in Afghanistan ,surly if soviet union has used it then the war would have ended differently ,but I doubt such countries with culture goes back to 1000 s years would come to such acts
Persian culture is deeply rooted in history ,they are not new to civilization

Firstly Israel has a missile defense system so would probably shoot down any nuclear weapon, then they would respond and start with destroying Iran's nuclear facilities and military installations. I can't see them nuking Tehran.

The thing is that nobody would stop them if they had been attacked first.

Interesting twist:

I do not think Iran will fire nukes at Israel. The reason is that there would be counter Nuclear attack by the US/Israel and this would be supported by the Arab countries, as Sunni Muslims, because of their dislike for the non-Arab Persian Shiite Muslims. It would be just a matter of balance of power.

Israel will not wait until Iran has the bomb. They will be obliterated long before they have the chance to launch anything at Israel. That's what being pro-active is all about (not reactive like the US).

Not going to happen. Israel is capable of stopping anything they have at present.
Syria's gas is a bigger concern.
I wonder how much dirty nuc material is being processed under the guise of making a bomb.
Delivery would be easy as a rocket.
A dirty bomb doesn't have to be launched.
When the time comes Iran knows they will get all they need from Russia. Not as big a deal to them as it is to us.
