If you think that women in your country have to cope with lots of injustice and a big lack of personal freedom, you should not even think in going to Saudi Arabia.
I have not been there, but I went once to Iran on a cultural trip and I found out that people do what they want in privacy.
A Indian friend of mine went to work in Saudi Arabia and he told me that in Saudi Arabia you even have to be careful in your own house with what you do or say and that foreign workers are treated like 3rd class human beings (Due to him, women are 2nd class, which I honestly donĀ“t doubt).
In Saudi Arabia you are not free to walk on the street or to go to a coffee bar or to go to a cinema... everything is religion and you will be punished severely if you donĀ“t follow their codes a 100%.
Especially as a woman they will always observe you and as a foreign woman even worse, because they will try to find anything to sew you if they want to do that.
I got horrified by some stories he told me about his stay there.
One thing is sure, for me it is a place where I donĀ“t want to go, because I would have to give up everything I like to do... |

Be rude or mess around with Saudis. Sadly, some 'Princes' are ignorant and bad, so you have to be nice to them and talk politely. This one Prince in my school got expelled 3 times, but kept coming back. There are not laws really against Saudis (there are, but not enforced) so they're pretty much safe. |
