not to judge anyone

i never really judged that much but i did without meaning to
i would say i would never do that!
then later in life i would find myself in simialr situations and relize how that person must have felt
now when people ask me what i would do in a certain situation i tell them i cant honestly say until i'm in that situation
i tell them what i would like to think i would do but i can never be sure

My mom once told me never to take anything for granted, and to appreciate all the small things God has blessed us with in life. The example she gave me was so funny. Something we may think is trivial and completely take for granted, but if it were to be taken away from us we would really suffer. She just told me imagine what it would be like if you couldn't pee for example! People suffering from i7tibas ilbool would really appreciate that thing you laugh at and take for granted.

I never laughed afterward at anything, no matter how small. I now take nothing whatsoever for granted and say al7amdulilah everyday for every little thing God has blessed me with. It has made all the difference in my life.

Don't stress over what others think about you.

When I was an approval-seeking misfit nerd of a schoolkid, I tried and tried to do what the crowd wanted. As a result I was led around by the nose into doing all kinds of silly things, since they knew I'd do whatever I was told the cool kids did. I'm ashamed now to look back and see what a performance I was putting on for classmates who were laughing at me.

When I began to do what I wanted to do, approval be damned, ironically I began getting much more of that approval. For example, I don't give the south end of a northbound skunk what's in fashion. I wear the clothes I like. And I get many, many more compliments on my look now than I did when I just "had" to have something because it was in style.

hI,

The best my father gave me was that life is a rollar coaster and it'll have its ups and down but you just gotta ride it until the wheels fall off.

I can't begin to tell you everything in regards to this. My whole life my father has given me advice, and it will never stop. Respect those whom you wish to earn their respect. Treat everyone as an equal until they prove otherwise. Love strongly. Do what you love, and work the best that you can. Don't do anything that you know will bring you shame.

He's one of the most upstanding, dignified men I ever met. He has never done anyone any harm, and has always stood up for his beliefs and ethics.

I follow what he taught me every day. And in the long run, the best advice he gave me was to be just like him.
