Saudi/Gulf hospitality is unforgettable.
Warmth and lifetime of friendship are two of the things that strike you the most about the Saudi people in general.
Many people go to Arabia and live in isolated compounds and never even meet the real people of the country, which is a shame, and it's no wonder they're bored, sitting behind their barbed wire compounds. |

I remember the first time I arrived in Saudi Arabia, that was almost 5 years ago, I was amazed on how different it was than I expected. it is a very clean country & in time you begin to really respect the country & it's people.
I do not think at all that women are oppressed, it is quite the opposite & i think the abbaya is really a good thing for a woman, it makes you feel like you are protected.
and visiting Mecca & Al madina is the best experience any muslim will cherish for ever. |

I've lived here for 18 years, and although I'm not Saudi I really like it. I like that I'm not afraid to walk out by myself, whereas in the U.S. I have a constant fear of getting mugged. I like how food is cheaper here than a lot of places, and I mean what's not to love about Arabic food? I love turning on the radio and hearing Arabic music. I love meeting generous Saudi people who treat me like family even if I don't know them. I love walking into an air-conditioned house after being in the blazing heat for hours. I love the desert on a clear day, and how the weather at night is perfect. I love how it feels like home. |

I lived in Saudi Arabia for 2 1/2 years and the best thing about it is the Saudi people, I was fortunate enough to get to know a Saudi family who were one of the most kind and generous people I have ever met. The people there were very warm and friendly to me and being there is an experience that I will treasure always. |
