A dream or a daydream is actually a person's wishes and aspirations. They are their desires and longings....... people who daydream find a refugee in those dreams away from the reality as some of those dreams may be too hard or need a lot of time and effort fulfill them, so in a way a dream is an escape or a faster way to reach the desired results of that wish or dream.
Hope on the other hand is "The triumph of the human spirit over despair" it's when you start to make yr dreams come true, you work hard and do what needs to be done and all the while "hope" that the result of all yr hard work is what you dreamed off. It is putting those earlier thoughts (dreams) in action and fulfilling them.
So when we all "hope" for sthg we are actually doing the necessary work to make our "dreams" come true. |

That depends on the context of the word "dream."
A dream is a succession of images, thoughts, or emotions passing through the mind during sleep. It is also could mean to think or conceive of something in a very remote way.
A hope is the feeling that what is wanted can be had or that events will turn out for the best.
So...I guess an example would be "I have a dream and I hope it comes true." A dream is more of some random scenario while a hope is something you genuinely want. |

hope = might NOT come true..... since when you hope for something you don't really do anything about it

To dream is to wish for something ~ to hope is to know already that it will happen
(unfortunately we use the word hope often times in place of the word wish
For instance: if you are a Christian and you believe you can't lose your salvation it would be perfectly acceptable to say you have hope
If you did believe you could lose your salvation then you would be wishing you could get into heaven and not hoping since hoping means already knowing.) |

I think "dream" is more powerful. "Hope" is kind of 'Oh, I hope this will happen.' But if you dream it, I think you want it more and you will strive more for it. |

Very good question and I have an answer. I have read some of those answer's to your question. Some of them are good and true answers. In a since dream and hope are related in some ways.
To dream is to wish for something to come true. It is the desire of your heart that you want to come true. Believe it or not some dreams do come true, and it depends on how true to life the are.
To hope is the faith and desire in your heart that it will eventually happen. Hope is your desire to know that it is true. That is why you hear thing like, (keep hope alive) (don't lose hope). Hope keeps people holding on to life and and doing what needs to be done. Hope can also start from a dream.
Remember if you have any kind of faith, then you have hope. Your hope can become part of your dream. It depends on how you look at it.

to dream is when u really want to happen but u may think wont happen because it might be too un realistic like falling in love with a movie star that u never might meet. and such. also to dream is when u want something to happen in the future. like getting married to a really good guy. it might be around 10 years away for some people.
to hope is when u really want to happen and it can actually happen like getting a good grade on a assignment in school or getting a job u really want.
i think its fun to dream of something because it feels really good if it actually happens. =]
