Jews and Arabs usually get along on a day today basis.
Commuting to work and school, studying together at university or heading out to lunch from the same office building, there is plenty of room for interaction between Jews and Arabs in Israel.
Most Israeli, however, tend to live in homogenous areas, with people of similar social, religious, and economic backgrounds. Although friendships do happen between Arabs and Jews. There is more friendships between a secular Jew and Arab than a religious Modern Orthodox Jew, and more common than friendships between a secular Jew and an Ultra-Orthodox Jew than with a Arab person. |

It depends on individuals. Some Jews get along with Arabs and some Jews have a racist attitude towards the Arabs.
Same thing with some Arab individuals who get along with Jews while there are Arabs who have a racist attitude towards the Jews.
I suppose it can be the same any where in the world. Some get along with others and some just don't get along with anyone. |

Hey beautiful, that is an interesting thought. I often wonder myself about that, considering the conflict between them. But anywhere you go, there are people who get along well and people who don't. |

Many Arabs are Jewish. Can you define your question a little better? |

it really depends on what part of israel one lives in.
the jerusalem area or the galilee have much more mixed populations. jews and arabs live alongside each other and so have working and social contacts with each other.
people in the tel aviv area have less contact with arabs and many of them dont see arabs as neighbours or co-workers but rather as someone who's dangerous or someone who comes to do certain menial jobs.
same goes for arabs living in the "territories" who only come into contact with jews either as soldiers or as people around the place where they work...
(this is very generalised, but is an ok description as far as generalizations go) |

The modern State of Israel was established in 1948. There is a great deal of context required to understand the subject. It is explained well here:
http://www.jewishvirtuallibrary.org/jsource/anti-semitism/Jews_in_Arab_lands_(gen).html
http://www.jimena.org/
http://www.dhimmitude.org/
A microcosm: There was a restaurant in Tel Aviv called Mike's Place that Jews and Arabs used to frequent, where they would all sit together and get along.
Then one day, an Arab came into the place and blew it to smithereens. That is the Arab middle east. |

Relations were excellent in the past. But the Arabs are becoming more and more radicalized, and as such are becoming anti-Israel.
Nevertheless, at present the gap between the Israeli Arabs and the Jewish population is narrower than similar gaps in Western Europe, between the native European population and the local Muslims (Arabs in France, Turks in Germany, and Pakistanis in England). If this were a justification to call it "apartheid", then most of the world would be guilty of it.
A different situation is with the "Palestinians" (the non-Israeli Arab population in what is commonly referred as the "West Bank" and Gaza): they are not Israeli citizens, but in most cases have no citizenship, although some carry American passports.
They are not treated the same as Israelis (Jewish or Arab), obviously, because they are not entitled to same treatment, no more than Iraqis are entitled to same treatment by the USA as American citizens. No country in the world treats foreign citizens -- especially not enemies -- the same as they treat its own citizens.

Arabs gave refuge to the escaping Jews from the so called "Holocaust"; as always through history….
Then in return…
Jews stole the Palestinians' land, destroyed their towns, confiscated their homes, killed their children, jailed their population and turned the Middle East into hill……
A very simple story….isn't it? |

They see a construction site
The grandpa tells his son
“When I was younger I worked in a construction site just like this”
Then the kid ask the grandpa

WOOPS SORRY GUYS
Jews and Arabs live together peacefully in Neve Shalom Israel. BUT THAT'S ONE IN A THOUSAND
My house was built by an Israeli of the DRUZE , we rubbed shoulders for 9 months both learning new things.
A couple of years later same individual built my fathers house, we solved problems in a respectful way, we have both been to each others house, but we just represent a drop in the sea. His opinions about what was to be done were realistic didn't have to talk politics.

Alot of jews except for the european/Asian/African ones are semites which means arab by ethnic so your question is a bit weird.
I assume you are talking about the relation between jews and non-jews i would say that it is not that great but they get along just fine in their daily lives |
