Ranoush(ppl thumbed me down:p)
well,in restaurants where they charge you for service, that makes it easier..
other than that..i pay from 3 to 5 egp...
if home delivery then it depends on the distance between the restaurant and my place..not less than 3 egp though...
my friends and i always fight over tipping,i see that i have to tip the waiter, they see if they can dodge it,it would be great, but i feel embarrassed to return to that restaurant again...i fear they'll call me cheap

I usually leave that to hubby dearest! He pays, I just enjoy the service! looooooool

Loooool @ Kumara! My dear, my entire universe is tipsy turvy!

Kalooka
my tipping policy is; better to keep the balance in society and give people money as long as i still can earn them

Amazing service: 20-25%

Good/average service: 15%

Pizza: 10-15% (Most of them have to pay their own gas and such and they go through a lot, so I feel they deserve a tip even though they're "just dropping it off.")

Bad service: Nothing

Horrible service: 1 penny in the bottom of my drinking glass. ;P

Wretched appalling service: Same as above + contact with the manager.

paki
..not more than $10..doesn't matter how big is the bill

brilliantwash
no service no tip

I tip about 15 -20%. Did you know the tip is supposed to be calculated on the total before the the taxes are added on?
A lot of people do not know this. Anyways, I always try and tip a little extra over 15% at a restaurant. I usually see college kids or people who are trying to make ends meet, and I feel for them.
If I have bad service, I will deal with it right there. I usually confront the person and ask them if they are having a bad day, if so they need not take it out on me, because I am out to enjoy myself and not be subjected to their misery.
That is just me. I work retail and I know what I do to maintain customer service, I also know my limits and I do not take my frustration out on the next person or on my staff for the day. It is just plain unfair! By being miserable and subjecting others to your misery, you are having an adult tantrum!
Get over it - life is too short!

Minimum 15%, more for stellar service in restaurants. 10% for cabs.

I always tip something. The amount depends on service.
Normally I try to tip 15%.

most of the resteraunts don't deseve a tip where I go b/c their service sucks but when I find good service I usually tip them very well

frankiesezso1
States, a tip between 10% and 20% is expected. however, if you don't like the service, simply don't tip. Make them earn it.

I'm Blind not Deaf
I never tip

I usually tip about 20% at restaurants. Today, at lunch, however I tipped about 18% because it was a nice round number and easier with the change.

My stylist and manicurist, I tip about 18-20% as well; they are very good.

Not sure what to tip cabbies. Usually $2. Bellmen/shuttle driver $1 per bag, maybe $5 for all the luggage if I have three bags. Hotel maid is usually $2 per night.

Baristas at Starbucks/coffee shops - left over change. If it is a big order a $1.
