I don't think we really even need the term Zionist anymore. Zionism is the international movement spurred by Jews trying to establish a Jewish Homeland in Israel. Well, look at that. We've got it now! I'm just a really patriotic Israeli.
So, Zionism has its victory. Now as an Israeli and a Israeli Soldier; my definition of victory is peace. This can be achieved in 2 ways. A 2 state solution will be drawn up, not the 67 borders, smaller because of the time they wasted fighting the occupation and refusing to accept the 2 state solution. Following the 2 state solution, they live in peace.
The second way is they keep fighting, keep losing, and keep dying, and if that goes on forever, they will eventually not have enough people to fight and it will end that way.
So now the ball is in their court. What they do with it is completely up to them

Victory for a zionist is to see as many Jewish people returning to their homeland ,Israel and its victory would also be to continue to support the modern state of Israel.They would also see victory as Israel being left alone for the rest of the world to recognize her, as a country.
As apposed to the Arab terrorist groups, who want to destroy Israel and all her citizens, who measure their success by the number of Citizens they murder, Zionism is not violent at all, zionist people do not want to harm anyone, they want to be left alone, but will do what ever it takes to protect their only country and all her citizens.

Every day that Israel survives as a sovereign nation is a victory. Everyday that the Palestinians do not have a state of their own is also perceived as a victory. Only Israel would not base the definition of victory as you suggest ("innocent souls which they take"). I must believe that there is still some humanity left in the country that I love.

So,itÂ´s clear that in clash with Hezbollah the vctory of Israel-both political and militar- was complete.
In the clash with Hamas it was not so.Yes,Isral beseiged Gaza,yes Israel killed over 700 Hamas fighters,yes Israel drove Hamas fighters like rabbits and destroyed practically all the Hamas infrastructure of terror:tunnels,workshops of "Qsssam" rockets,rocket platforms...All this is so,and of course militarily,Israel beat Hamas up.
But Israel did not stop completely the rocket attacks ,although reduced their number to 3 or 4 a day,while before the Cast Lead operation Hamas daily launched on Israeli cities 25-30 rockets.
Also,Israel,even in alliance with Egypt,USA,and European Union,could not cut off arms smuggling by Hamas,whch means tht in some 6 months,Hamas will stockpile enuough weapons to think it is ready to fight Israel.So,politically it looks like a draw,which of course can not satisfy neiter Israel nor Hamas and means the new round in the nearest future.

The zionist definition of victory is peace. They attempted to stop the 10,000 missiles that have been launched from Gaza over the last 8 years without fighting.

However, since the missiles continued and made life crazy for over 100,000 people that live in major cities that were targeted, they had to do something to stop them.

The zionists have been the cause of two peace treaties, between Egypt and Israel, and between Jordan and Israel. They also provide medical care freely to Gaza and the West Bank.
