So many things make life worth living dear Aussie; loved ones -be it friends or family with their love ... the love of God, which we feel in so many ways, through his wonderful creations, especially the beauty of nature ... And then, there are times when nothing seems enough to compensate the pains of living. So, I can say that what makes life worth living the most is knowing or realizing that you make a difference - that somebody´s life matters or is happier because of you.
I just got myself a new friend and I am so happy to see that I have added some joy to her life and btw, thanks for the joy you bring me, too! Mwah!

Edit - I was blessed with 2 new friends, this very sweet person, you all know so well here and another one from my 360. I also forgot to mention the difference they made for me too by making me feel appreciated ...
