I'd say having a braai with lots of family and the children would be outside swimming and the grown ups would be inside watching the weeks rugby. good old days. and then the meat we used to eat during the braai is not the same as here =(
also, walking barefoot which obviously u can't do here or you'd freeze to death within a millisecond! lol |

Having a braai at home. We don't braai as often as we used to, though. |

I thoroughly enjoy going out to Muldersdrift on a Saturday Morning, making a breakfast next to the Water at Brookwoods Flyfishing Farm, then fishing most of the morning, taking my catch (they do all the cleaning for you) and having a Trout Braai. It is really beautiful there - feels like you are a 1000km away from civilization and it is well protected with only one entrance with a security guard and a Lion Park as a neighbour - so you are pretty safe.... |

Get away from the city lights at night and check out the southern skies. The stars appear so close compared to the northern skies. You folks get the most fabulous light show I have ever seen. That's my favourite night time thing in South Africa.
Being one of those foreigners, I would have to say that during the day it would have to be the wildlife of all sorts from the tiniest insects to the fabulous elephant. National Geographic is great but the real McCoy is so much better. |

Visit comedy nights at a local pub or Carnival city with friend. Chilling with friends and a great braai is also great for me and that is something I will miss if I leave SA. |

Watch the sunset. Never seen sunsets like them.
And lightening! I really miss those summer thunderstorms at the end of a hot day. |

It is hard to choose, but what gave me the most pleasure was to take a map of South Africa and just drive along visiting all the small "dorpies" that most people pass by in their normal travels of the country. I've always had the travel bug in me. When I visit or work in a foreign country these days, I still like to explore the little towns or villages. |

Ahhh, going to Margate beach and eating ice-cream, candy floss, body surfing and watching all the luscious babes.......when SA was still segregated and people didn't urinate and defecate on the beaches! |
