The Jews in Israel have one of the worst political systems.
They do not have a constitution actually, giving them the right to interpret the law anyway it suits them at that time.
Do you actually know that a political party needs only 20% of the votes of the people in order to win?
Talk about democracy in Israel!
I still cannot understand why the Americans still keep those people of the Jewish-Lobby inside the White House.
So in order to answer your question my dear, I can surely say: Nothing!
Unfortunately of course.

the system in Israel is almost similar to that of England electing the PM and similar to that of Lebanon in choosing the president
the Israeli president is not elected directly out of public votes
the party who wins more in the elections would then form the government almost the same role the president plays in similarity to that of the queen of England plays ,
the problem is that Israel is not led by those "leaders" winning elections there are more than that
the 1956 war which israel initiated against Egypt was totally planned and shaped in UK then france joined they wanted a reason to attack so they found in the Israeli the one to start things up
again in 2006 the new middle east thing was tempting US to make israel initiate some war to release one obstacle from the way
you can gather in olmert case once he tried to do some thing on his own in order to accomplish some thing after his failure 2006 so he was taken to investigations ended up with livni as successor all were connected with money affairs |

she gets blamed as a typical stupid girl who launches attacks on Iran while escaping back to Germany or Russia where she is realy from, what else do you think these Aryans do best? |

She is not left-leaning,she's a crypto-fascist. i would hope she would mount enough aggression to trigger of a full-blown revolution that will end the zionist regime once and for all. |

She attacks Iran and Syria and Gaza and Lebanon and assumes the U.S. will come to the rescue when the going gets tough. She is a dangerous fanatic. Given her credentials as an ardent Sharonist,I don't see how she could come across as left-wing. Anything but. Basically, she's a Nazi. |

She is going for Prime Minister, not President. From the sources that I have read, she is serious about making peace with the Palestinians on a two state solution basis. Now the question is, will the Palestinians want to make peace on that basis? The Palestinians have refused a state in both 1947 and 2000 and attacked Israel. Will they this time take the opportunity or miss the opportunity? |

read up on israel's political system. the president has no executive clout. it's the PM that does. livni will have to dance the political dance and juggle the coalition and do what it allows her to do.
we are run by a bunch of power greedy crooks who are only interested in strengthening their positions and gaining power. they will lean where the wind blows and do whatever keeps them in power.

You know what,
no matter who becomes elected president to that apartheid state,
Zion's end is near.
And lets not forget, she or any others will still continue the same savagery as the others have done thus far. |

Nothing, because shes not running for president Shimon peres is the president and hes always been left of center politically.Livni is running for prime minister and it looks like she won.Whats good for the palestinians is good for the Israelis if they can elect decent leadership reign in radical elements and give up the ridiculous notion that they can defeat Israel militarily everyone wins.
Edit
Galahad youre a great humanitarian, calling for more bloodshed kudos.I see now why you support the Pals since you're so concerned about the suffering of innocents. |

Palestinian Information Minister Riad Malki was hopeful that peace talks could succeed under Israel's new leadership.
"We welcome the results of the election, and we are going to deal with any new prime minister in Israel," he told The Associated Press. "We hope this new prime minister will be ready to ... reach a peace deal with the Palestinians that ends the occupation and allows the establishment of an independent Palestinian state living beside Israel."
Palestinians pleased with Livni's win
Palestinian authority officials breathe a sign of relief, say they feared Mofaz victory

she is a prime candidate to be israels next prime minister and not president.
Tzipi Livni offers new hope for the floundering peace process.she offers the best chance of edging forward talks with the Palestinians. These are caught in a half-life, sustained by a last burst of attention from President George W. Bush and Olmert, hoping for a deal by way of legacy, |

If she becomes President she becomes irrelevant as the Presidency is purely a ceremonial post. At the moment Shimon Peres is the president, Livni is running to be Prime Minister. She's in favour of peace talks but she has the problem of trying to form a stable coalition. I think she won't be able to form a stable coalition which will necessitate a General election.
A general election is likely to be won by Likud which is led by Benyamin Netanyahu (Bibi) and they are far more right wing than Kadima or Labour and will in all likelihood cut off peace talks or at least not hold them at the level of the Israeli PM and Palestinian president |

She will not become president, as Israel has a president. His name is Shimon Peres.
If she does become the next PM, I assume she will resume peace negotiations with the Arabs. |

She will be the same as Olmert. Which ever President America has she will play the peace plan game.
Land for Peace just doesn't work.
I hope she doesn't get it. PM I mean. |
