first make sure that he did in fact lie and then try to find out why did he lie. Sometimes people tell lies for a reason. Don't just leave the person if you love him for one little lie.

I'm in a similar situation at the moment. Depends how much you love them and what they're lying about. If they're cheating on you then leave them cos they can't love you. If it's silly lies like what time they got back in etc then try talk to them about how it makes you feel and see if they will try stop it. I know a guy who is just a compulsive liar, he seems to think it better to say he left work late than admit he went for a drink at the pub...trouble is I always find out and I'm always more annoyed at him for going without telling me than I would be if he just said I'm off to the pub.

So depends what they're lying about in my opinion. But try talk to them about it. Also depends how long you've been with them, and whether you can trust anything they say...

Only you can make that decision really...

I would still love him as love can't be turned off like that but i wouldn't be able to trust him. It also depends what lies he has been telling. If they were serious lies that really effect our relationship then maybe it would be over as i can forgive just can't forget.
