2 years ago my son had swallowed something that got stuck in one of the trachea branches near the lungs (he was only 2)...i was standing infront of the op. room when all of the sudden the door opens and a nurse stared at me:
"are you his father?"
"yes...."
she gave me those clumsy footwear you have to put on when entering the operation room, and here he was lying on his back and some pipes protruding from his open mouth, the doctor was explaining that the instrument we tried to pull out the obstacle can't handle it with the current instrument, so we have to wait and get him back from anaesthesia and wait for the other robust, thick instrument (before op. he was describing the state of the art delicate equipment that is smooth on the inner walls, he just had for these kind of ops.) but now he is telling me we had to wait and he has to went through all this again after 2 hours...between the 2 ops. i went down stairs, for my luck i found a nice telephone booth, i hid my face in it and went on..

before then,it was the other day,i was talking to dear friend of mine who was feeling really bad and sick,and i couldn't do her anything to make her feel better or left her spirits,i started sobbing while we are chatting till we signed out,it was a mixture of feeling sad and useless,i hate when i can't do sth to make my friends better...all i could do it praying for her in every salat...may Allah bless her with his mercy

Just this evening when i was listening to Imam Anwar Al Awlaki relating the story of how Hadrat Umar was hiding at the Kabbah listening to Rasool Allah (saws) praying late at night....(before he was a muslim) and he thought he (saws) was a poet, then soothsayerthen he (saws) recited the verses saying that he (saws) was neither of these....this was Omar's first step to becoming a muslim.. Allahu Ahkbar

just an hour ago I was talking online to a Palestinian friend that I haven't talked to in ages (10 years specifically), he asked me where I lived and I told him Cairo, then I asked him "and you? are you still living in Jeddah?" he said "Yes, where shall we go? we don't have a country ! :)"
I had weepy eyes but not literally Cried..

My tears are always near, but they r not for people to see or know about.

@ Kalooka, my heart went out for your baby and you, i hope we all never have to face this "helplessness or pain" with any of our loved ones.

@ Rana, sweety, i am soooooo sorry i made you cry, you were a true friend then and you did help me, thanks honey, pls keep me in your prayers, i desperately need that.
