A day or so ago when I saw Susan Boyle on ' Britain's got Talent ' & heard her amazing voice...

What really struck home is the way we dismiss those not considered as " beautiful " people ....don't give them a second glance yet when someone like this takes centre stage we realise that God doesn't create junk !

I was really humbled , not just by her voice but by her personality & hope that this is the beginning of a talent that can capture the spirit of those " overlooked " in our fake world !

Again, people like someone for all kinds of wrong reasons.

If Suzan Boyle did not have such a charming voice, would it be justifed to consider her as just another ugly duck?

The fact that she has a good voice should be judged separately from her looks. People should not draw relations between these two different issues.

Jeee. This is driving me crazy: To feel so emotional for someone supposedly less attractive just because they have a talent.

This is typically the western mentality which assigns good looks to good personality. Bad looks to bad personality.
Thus, it is justified to feel surprised and overwhlemed to see good personality on bad looks.
It's like they're saying " What a surprise! She's ugly, yet she can sing"
As if ugly looking people are supposed to do all kinds of ugly things.

i'm having tears right now..
u know i wear glasses & my eyes r kinda sensitive & it has been an hour online , so my eyes r doing what they do , lool..

i'm always embarrassed cuz of that , i mean even when i'm in a section ( in the college ) i start having tears cuz of concentrating..

but if u r asking about emotional tears , i kinda have them daily, i dunno why , but i'm getting sensitive & emotional day after the other..
i remember my dead grandma & my dead cousin( may allah have mercy on their souls ) and when i do that i just cant hold my tears , god i miss them sooo much..
also whenever i see somebody crying ( even for a silly reason ) i find myself crying as well ( i hate myself when i do that )..
whenever i think of ( 7al el 3Abran w el muslimeen ) & how humiliated we r these days after we ruled the world for ages..

and there's this spiritual part between me & my allah ( the greatest ever )
