Maybe never. There are hardliners on both sides, and hardliners do not compromise. Peace requires compromise. Israel is and will always be physically surrounded by enemies. Strength is a good thing, but diplomacy is just as useful a tool for longevity. Israel has a right to exist and to have peace, but it cannot have only it's own way. Pulling back on overly aggressive Israeli settlers and being able to admit to unequal treatment towards others would win Israel some measure of peace. Hardline attitudes without room for change brings eternal war. On both sides. |

You kind of said your issue right there; that "God helped us." Both sides believe they're right. Both sides believe God is on their side. In your case, this leads to ignoring the misery of innocent Palestinians. Israel will be at peace when it recognizes the people it is oppressing as human beings who need homes of their own, rather than "terrorist" "cockroaches" who are not the "Chosen People" and, according to some, don't even exist. |

After the Hamas killers have been eliminated and the Hexbull terrorists then you will have peace. The same happened in N. Ireland. The IRA killed anyone everyday for years until they were militarily defeated. Then what was left of them signed a peace agreement which gained them nothing. So advice is not to give up. Support for Hamas child killers and Hexbull terror group will gradually fall away. |
