I'm really lost ya rana , these options you post suite people like adam more , not you , why can't you stay in the group without changing or forcing ur opinions on them , why do u have to watch from the corner or change , are you ok my frined .

No Rana, you don't leave, you don't try to be like them, and you don't sit in the corner without participation. If you really think they are your friends, act the way you truly are, and don't be afraid to be yourself. Don't judge and don't worry about being judged. True friends don't do that. True friends accept each other the way they are. They support each other in the decisions they make, even though they may not always agree upon everything. You have your opinion, others have theirs, that does not mean you can't get along if you are friends. Diversity is what makes a relation interesting. Everyone is entitled to their view, has a right to express it, and everyone is also entitled to make their own choices in life. A true friend is there for his other friends to support and help them pick up the pieces if any of the choices made was a wrong one without saying I told you so.

Min ilakhir kida ya3ny just be yourself without letting ANYONE tell you what to do. Do what you truly believe in and think is right.

Well, it really depends.....

If this group are people that i am close to or not, you see, if they r my friends then i would have to agree with Farah on a lot of what she said, but, i would like to add one more thing, if you feel at a certain time that something is wrong then for the sake of yr friendship you have to speak out and voice yr opinion or else, what is the use of being friends and loving each other if not to benefit one another.

Now if those people or group are just acquaintances, that i really have no interest in, then most probably, i ll just sit and watch and listen, but i won't participate or eventually i ll leave. Life is to short to spend it arguing to deaf ears.

Besides, no one's way is the right way and judging people and their actions should be left to Allah swt, we are all full of faults ourselves, so the choice to accept them or refuse them is really up to you.

i ll find anything else that we have in common and start talking about it, joking about it, or anything..the only reason that can make me want to leave the group, not the different opinions, nor the morals (they are kinda connected - opinons and morals) is the chemistry, i.e. if they are really a bunch of idiots who has no sense of humour, or doesn't know anything about anything, talking completely crap, you know..then i ll say i want to go to the toilet or something and go..

i'm from those who can understand and contain the "other" as well as adapting with them, but still of course keeping my morals, behaviour and sure my personality away from being indulged or affecte by something i reject .

*i believe in the concept that i'm not always right neither they always wrong, so i've to at least listen to them and know their opinions and how they judge things from another viewpoints, whether i accept it or reject it . (for i know that we at least won't fight at the end, just different viewpoints !! )

1) Leave that group? Well, yes & no. If I am at a party & walk up to group that I don't fit into...I would leave that group. If however, it's a group that's been assigned to me for whatever reason, I would at least attempt to listen to what was being said and see if I could participate in any way.

2) Try to be more like them? NO! Don't ever do that! Be true to yourself. If the group was one whose opinions & morals you admired and you wanted to be like them, then you could try to be more like them. But not if it isn't in your heart.

3) Sit in the corner and watch without participation? I've done this on occassion. But it still depends on the reason the group is together. If I am placed in a group whose sole purpose is to come up with a decision on something, then it would very important for me to participate regardless of what I thought of the others in the group. If it was just a social group, then I don't believe that my presence would be required.

1. Yes I would leave the group but if they where nice to me then I wouldnt leave. If I saw them doing something bad then yes I would leave the group.
2. I dont try to be more like them because if you be yourself then everyone will like you

i tried all three... all with the same result.. i dont fit in.. i dont trust some of them, and i dont want to trust them really.. but there are always the ppl who are trustworthy but it's really hard to find them and know if they're trustworthy or not.. it's internet.. anyone can lie and anyone can make up things... whether to leave or to stay and watch or be more like them, that's ur own choice,.. it's none of anyone's business.. ur own decision. good luck :)

That happened to me too sometimes. but at least you can just observe their opinions and try to put yours and be yourself. If they're dominating as if they wanted it that way then if it's not were you want then just leave you know.. Simple as that

none of the above. I try to change the subject.
if that doesn't work, I tell them that they are being ridiculous and ask to change the subject.
if that doesn't work, I sit quietly till they eventually change the subject.
never leave the group and sit alone. it's not healthy in my book.

Act as if you landed on another planet in a different Galaxy, and start watching those aliens from a close distance.. but make sure that you believe inside yourself that they're the aliens, and you're the real thing... it'll be fun
