As far as I'm concerned, I say Lol, only when I write sthg intended to be funny.
Can you explain what (f) means? is it "funny"?

For me it is hard to laugh out loud so, when i say lol or use smiley faces ,i am just smilling but when i laugh out loud i type "hilar" a shortcut for hilarious.
