I am a South African who will hopefully be out of this shithole no later than June of next year and on my way to once more live in a civilised land where the rape of babies, murder, incest, nepotism, hijacking, asenine politics, violence and drunkard thieving leaders will not be a part of my daily reality.
You must remember that the once great and prosperous South Africa was destroyed in 1994 and all that now remains is a crime infestated land of cochroaches and communists, only the delusional are "Proudly South African" and no civilised person wishes to stay unless they have family interests from which it is difficult to detach. |

I left Cape Town two years ago and miss it and all my friends there very much, but after being mugged five times and losing friends to hi-jackings and robberies, I'd had enough and now live in Cambridgeshire, where I at last feel safe. |

Was South African, am South African and will always be South African. Still live here in South Africa, Durban. I think most South Africans are busy watching the 20/20 cricket and the rugby WC atleast that's what my wife and I will be doing except when she and I will be going to the hospital in a few days time for the arrival of our 1st baby. |

Was South African, Joburg born, downtown, know joburg like the back of my hand. Loved South Africa, believed in the big freedom 'happy to meet you dream'. Felt betrayed by South Africans on all sides of the big rainbow spectrum, am now a Brit. Like all those talented, trustworthy, efficient expats who live here in the UK.
Truth be told I was always a Brit in my heart, well what can a Soutie say, if your too salty and not indigenous & do not feel welcome in the land of your birth, where do you go?
Personally I think the Afrikaaners screwed it up with all their arrogance & boneheadedness & at the moment I could'nt give 2 shits about South Africa or it's bonehead people. When they decide to pull their finger out gimme a call.
& believe me I'm not the only one who feels the same way.
Oh & by the way if youre afrikaans & are full of hate for people different to you, please dont run away & come here, stay where you are & work out the bloody mess you made. |
