I held on to my son this morning whilst watching the news. I dont know, nor do I want to know why he did what he did. I think I'm even more pained that children had to die. To a degree, Bull is right. There are so many more murders of young children. You becoming quite aware once you have your own children.
But I must say, we cant really say its being given too much attention because it was a white person. It was a massacre, and I think if a black guy had killed so many white people it would have been given a lot of attention. See stories on that serial killer, moses whatsisname? The zimbabwean dude who managed to sneak out of a prison window...etc. They got a lot of coverage.
Either way, whoever does it, black, white and in between are sick, sick people and need no mercy. a killer is a killer. |

If he is sane and found guilty of murder then he should hang. As to your question why does he acquire such hatred then you had better be aware that probably many young White South Africans are truly bitter about the ANC and what they have done to them with their racism and running the Country into the ground. Many see life as aparthjeid reversed under the ANC yet many had little to do with it. The ANC and supporters should look at themselves for creating such a climate in South Africa with their hate speech directed at Whites led by Mbeki and the dancing/singing Zuma. You also seem to forget that other AIDS infested rubbush Mokaba with his "One Boer one bullet" and how the ANC supporters loved it.
So look beyond the crime and look at the people and rhetoric that has caused it. |

I think it boils down to hatred.
And on this forum nothing exemplifies it better than our resident dedicated non thinker Ayiza.
He takes every opportunity he has to try and underhandedly "get one over" myself and others as he lacks the ability to debate like a civilized human being.
Now, Ayiza, I challenge you to demonstrate to me how I blame "them" (I guess you mean black people) for everything.
Do you have the manly hood or intellectual capacity to back up your continued insults and insinuations?
Or are you just like the old Apartheid government who liked to generalize and group people? |

Tsepo, this is sad and I don't think anybody but the alleged culprit can give the inside of his mind which could help answer your question. This article tags his action as race-crime but I would wait until further info has been availed...^^(((<*>)))^^ |

Hang the bastard where everybody can see ! This type of violence is unacceptable in S.A ! The sooner the death penalty comes back the better ! How long must we endure such senseless acts of violence ? |

I sympathise with the families of the victims and renounce such acts of violence as evil.
I would however note that I believe it to be disgusting how the S.A. media has handled this story, why when a white man murders as in this case do the news reports clearly label him as white and begin printing headlines of "racist attack", yet the overwhelming majority of attacks and acts of violence in this country are committed by blacks and the victims are more often than not, white. Never in any of those articles do they mention the race of the criminal attacker or involve the community and state resources to the degree that we have seen here, it is hypocrisy and so typical of the racist ANC government.
What about all the farm murders, raped women children and babies, the list goes on but these crimes are irrelevant in the eyes of a racist government who label crime as a perception of racist whites and openly call for any white speaking out against their inability to handle crime to emigrate.
You want to know what breeds hate?
The disgusting and criminal behaviour of the ANC and this countries media is the answer. |

I agree with you Tsepo, this is really sad. My guess is he was on drugs or something. I also think it's wrong to label it as racism because the boy is too young. My condolences goes to the victims families. |

Regardless of where he acquired this hatred from this is an act of an animal - not a human.
And saying that it somehow is the current government's fault is exactly like the excuse used by others that the current situation in South Africa is the fault of the previous government.
Both the previous and the current governments where and are perverse and racist.
Murder is murder - whether committed by black or white - it's still murder. |

I don't know, but if he were to threaten me, my family or friends or even point the gun in our direction, I'd snap his neck with my bare hands without question. |

Possibly parental? I used to live in a farming area and left because of the attitudes that are there. In many small farming communities racism is still very much alive. I have heard many times that farmers are worried that as with Zimbabwe, their farms will be taken away, then given away.
Or it could even simply be racial influence from people arround him.
If any of these factors played a role on his mental state, it could be possible that he did it to show who is still boss, or even scare the community into not taking what would've been his farm some day. His way of showing he is not powerless.
And that his father did not keep the weapon away from his son for a second time, to me also says alot.
It is sad that small farming communities still suffer from such racism and poverty. |

In my mind there can be no reasonable explanation. I regard ANYBODY who hurts an innocent child for what ever reason to be lower in hierarchy than a house fly, |

Bull.....I'd agree with you about how the media is handling the matter...however i don't agree with you that this has anything to do with the ANC's hypocrisy........
I also agree that the only person who can tell (at least at this stage) what was the real motivation is the alleged killer. |

Well I agree with Unathi lets wait and find out .....he must be a lunatic. |

I agree with De La Rey, but in this case, where the perpetrator is only a boy, the blame will have to go to the nitwit parents. |

I agree with Ferrari and De La Rey - there is no excuse for such unnecessary killing and the sad part is if they don't bring back the death penalty it will only get worse......and no it is not just the parents lol you always have a choice |

Parents
Its that simple.
Imagine if your dad was ranting day in and day out about white people blaming them for everything, the same way Bull and Turniton do on this form do everyday |
