I agree with everyone here but the number one reason is that the government wants them poor so they can blame the Palestinians for everything that goes wrong in their lives.
Also there are some jews "above the law" that Mossad is their little toy that control diamonds, prostitutes, housing, drugs, politicians (oops I wrote prostitutes two times, lulz!) e.t.c.
Just like a 3rd World African or South American country.
Terrible country. So many innocent lives wasted for nothing.

The money probably goes to weapons etc which are then used to kill other innocent palestinians...

I mean seriously, they started a war which killed over 1400 innocent people in Gaza, for "defense purposes", and all in the name of saving innocent Israeli's, and even though they get so much aid from America etc, and they are STILL statistics about child hunger.

Isn't it lovely knowing that war about saving people, is considered a higher priority then saving the exact same people who are dying from hunger.

Huh? Are you serious? What about malnourishment? What about the fact that millions of people die from hunger? What about the affects not eating enough or the right amount of things has on your body? The fact is, if you don't have food you die.This is a lose - lose situation. But maybe, just maybe, if Israel didn't spend so much on defense (like building an illegal wall), maybe the lives of Israeli's would also improve.

I am going to assume you mean your tax payer money because I know there is no way in H*LL you are donating any of your money to an Israeli Charity.

The foreign aid from the US is military in nature only. Israel no longer receives the kind of aid from the US that you are thinking of, such as money for food and development. And the military aid is not entirely free, it comes with strings attached...as in here is some money but you have to buy so many F-16s oh and BTW only Lockheed and Martin (an American company) can sell you spare parts. Money from Israel goes right back to America.

Oh and the article you are using is from 2006 and is commenting on how Netanyahu's policies effected the rise in poverty so you would have been more clever to comment on how Right Wing politicians are not good for the poor in Israel but that would be expecting WAY too much from you. I found a 2007 article that says the same thing. Did you maybe think that this is an article slanted to benefit the Israeli left and demonize Netanyahu?

Unless you are giving money to an Israeli charity why do you even care? Itâ€™s an internal issue with Israel and frankly the whole of the Western world is seeing a rise in poverty (2008 article)â€¦1 in 6 American children go hungry and the gap between rich and poor is rising in places like Canada, Finland, and Germany.

A lot of it goes to national security and defense. If they didn't have the weapons to defend themselves, no children would be hungry because they would all be dead from being blown away by their intolerant neighbors. One step at a time. And I don't fully believe those statistics either. Sources can be skewed if they have any type of ulterior motives or agenda.

EDIT: For any country national defense is vital. An estimated 42% of your federal income taxes goes to national defense in America. The real question is, would you rather exist, or not have as much food on your table?

I know that the money goes to a good cause. That in return we have a nation that supports democracy and contributes to the whole of humanity. Israel facts on what they've accomplished really are too numerous to list, just google Israel achievements and one will see what I mean.

Other people also get aid and it doesn't necessarily provide such a great benefit, return on investment so to speak.

It's not all money, a small percentage is money. Most of it is weaponry that amounts to that money. Egypt and Saudi Arabia get more actual money then Israel. The actual money they do get goes towards the economy to uplift all communities but it is not enough. Many of those who are poor are russian immigrants who are not Jewish, morrocan immigrants who are Jewish and lastly orthodox jews.

I am not certain that you actually "donate" anything. As you know, Israel has taught the Arabs about irrigation, schools, sanitary care, and hospitals. A great deal of the money Israel gets from America goes to building Arabs hospitals, roads, schools, etc. and many millions of dollars goes to providing food, water, electricity, medicine, etc. to the Arabs.
