Palestine is a sacred land to two billion Christians and almost as many Muslims; today it is despoiled by several million bloodthirsty Europeans on the exceedingly dubious basis of a claim to descent from the ancient Habiru. A small percentage apparently are religious but most are atheists. The Holy Land should not be in the custody of an unholy tribe and so far as the religious element is concerned at an estimated 5 million adherents Judaism is one of the world's smallest religions; it is known today merely as a primitive precursor of Christianity and Islam. Palestine's right to exist has been ignored since 1946 when the U.S. and USSR began to dabble with the idea of dismembering it to destabilize the region. It needs a normal government with strictly enforced federal laws against ethnic and religious discrimination. |

Palestine-100% right to exist
first off, it is not Jewish land, thousands of years ago Arabs were here, not necessarily Palestinian because there was no Palestine back then, it was all one country called the Great Syria (belad al-sham in arabic) |

Palestine has the right to exist and it's dismemberment/late-term abortion in the immediate post-WWII is an everlasting disgrace and it should be rectified; it deserves it's independence now as it did then,as much as the other newly-created nations of the Levant. As to the so-called "zionists" their misrule has been of uncommon brutality and inhumanity; any claim they ever had may be considered defunct on this account. |

Jordan is Palestine or as close to a real Palestine as you are ever going to see. What you have is a bunch of Jordanian rejects and imported thugs living on Israeli dirt.
Israel already has a right and a mandate. The Arabs have nothing but what is given to them by Israel and God says no.
Let them beg forgiveness from their Palestinian Queen. |

palestine can be a state whenever they want.
so far they have not wanted to.
they had the chance in 48 and they turned it down. they had the chance several more times and each time they turned it down.
and now, they are fighting with themselves, hamas vs fatah. there can't be a state if there isn't a unity government.
palestinian statehood is not being held up by israel. they are holding it up themselves. |

Why did you leave out Jordan?
Jordan takes up 82% of what was the REGION of Palestine.
Palestinian Jews have been living in what is now Israel for the past 3500 years, non stop.
Tell me something - where were your precious Palestinian Arabs BEFORE 1967...?
Oh, that's right! They were happy to be known and defined as JORDANIANS. Even though Jordan stuck most of them in refugee camps, then left them there to rot and garner world sympathy.
--------------------------------------...
Mazeltov for somehow managing to entirely miss the point. If you challenge the right of Israel to exist, you have to also apply that to Jordan, as she takes up MORE of what WAS Palestine. Nothing to do with WHEN Jordan was created - in fact, if anything, the fact that she was created before Israel should mean MORE anger is directed at her. But of course that never happens, because Jordan has no Jews in it. It's fine when Jordan mistreats Palestinians - the world stays silent. But when Israel works for peace, and merely defends herself, the world rages.
Double standard extraordinnaire.
--------------------------------------...
Israel has never denied the right of any Palestinian Arab state to exist. Why do you THINK Israel offered the Palestinians in 2000 and 2001, at Taba and Camp David:
- East Jerusalem as the capital OF their Palestinian state
- 100% of Gaza (which they got anyway)
- 97% of West Bank ( which under international law does not belong to the Pals or Arabs)
Know why the Palestinians REJECTED all this, despite their having DEMANDED it previously?
Because in return, Israel asked for ONE THING:
- an end to terrorism.
The Pals rejected the offer, refused to stop the terrorism EVEN if they got ALL they had earlier demanded, and left, both times. |

Palestine was never a country. It was British territory pre-1947. So called "Palestinians" are lowlife Arabs. Arabs sit on 99.998% or all the surrounding land, while Israel sits on 0.002%. Arabs are so intolerant they think 0.002%. is too much. These lowlife Arabs have now infiltrated Lebanon and the Lebanese govt...and Lebanon as a Lebanese nation will vanish with time. The problem with the middle east is the extreme intolerance of Arabs and hate for their fellow humans, in this case the Jews. They've tried repeatedly since 1948 to eradicate the Jews but cannot due to supernatural intervention. If you respond to me, I am not Jewish! |

"refuse to recognize the right of Palestine to exist?"
That is a fabrication. Israel refuses the right of a palestinian state that doesn't recognize Israel but supports a palestinian state that does recognize Israel.
This question is like asking what is more important arabs or Jews? BOTH. |

The UN partition plan made for both a Jewish and Palestinian homeland. Is it Israel's fault that the Palestinians didn't have a chance to form one due to the intrusion of the Arab armies into the equation in 1948.

No nation known as "Palestine" ever existed, meanwhile Israel has existed as a nation continually for over 60 years now.
So which comes first, an established existing nation, or the creation of a new nation that never previously existed which is dependent on the destruction of the pre-existing nation in order to come into existence.
Essentially it would be comparable to saying "Who has a greater right to exist; the U.S., or a new nation known as 'The State of Marry W.', which would exist exactly where the U.S. is today". Clearly the established nation.
--------------------------------------...
Marry, that's true - notice how they've continually refused to do so. Additionally, at that point in time (if it ever happens) will have both *co-existing* so why is there a question about one having more of a right to exist if they would at that point *co*-exist.
--------------------------------------...
Marry, why is it Israel's responsibility to acknowledge that terrorist organizations have the right to establish a nation? Upon denouncing terrorism, Israel will be more accepting of them, but clearly it'd be ridiculous for the process to go in the other direction - it would be rewarding the terrorists for their terrorism.
Below, Kevin S put it so succinctly that I will quote him, "Israel refuses the right of a palestinian state that doesn't recognize Israel but supports a palestinian state that does recognize Israel."
-----------------------------
Marry, if you actually look at the creation of Israel, those organizations (which by the way primarily attacked military and political estalishments, not civilians - which are primarily the *only* target of Hamas) were roundly denounced by the organizations which became the new government of Israel, and by the general population. Additionally, Israel during its formation, actively (and at times even bloodily) dismantelled those organizations - while the exact opposite is currently the case with the 'Palestinians'.
So did those terrorist organizations exist for the express purpose of the the creation of Israel, yes. Did they create Israel, no - it was the many more non-terrorist organizations which created Israel. |
