Being from America, I would have to say that I prefer a British accent because it is different. Now, if I lived over seas, an American accent would then seem different and cause me to enjoy that one more than my own. Its a personal preference. |

I prefer the American accent. I think it's easier than the British accent and it sounds much better. It also feels more modern than the British. Also, the way the British pronounce the letter "r" can be annoying. |

which American and which British accent? there are dozens of versions of each... |

The British of course, it's the original English and more interesting and clear. I wonder how people feels the American accent is easy to listen or to understand. Most of the accents in America sounds like someone is eating the letters or chewing gum language. Sorry no offense |

I find a London accent very nice and in a woman very sexy. Some British accents though I find hard to follow.
Good Luck!!! |

I would say british, because no offence I'm not a racist but the REAL american *accent* is not the ones you see on your T.V or the one you hear in N.Y. The REAL american accent goes something like this "dang ya aint gota notin to say when I got me a hot couzin to marry." Don't believe me? Then go visit Kentucky or better yet watch George W. Bush on FoxNews. |

I think the English accent sounds kinda better for formal things like the news and that.
But the American one sounds really friendly.
I dont know which sounds better at singing...
But both are great in their own ways. |

British accent of course :-)
in British accent you can feel the beauty of the word and the beauty of the pronunciation of each letter as well as the musicality in it.
while actually the American, i feel that they are hurting my ears when hearing them.......and couldn't enjoy the beauty of the language or the accent. |

personally i prefer the American i have been using it as my second language for over a decade and it is much easier and more comfort for the ear and the British accent to me seems a little bit arrogant |
