There is nothing stronger than when you feel fear and love at the same time. You may think you are the most coward in this world, but when someone you really love is in danger you will find a secret strength inside you. I only felt this once, when I thought my brother was about to commit suicide. It all happened so suddenly and that was such a strong feeling that even if someone threatened to shoot me, they wouldn't have stopped me. You have to go through something like this to discover a side of you you have never seen.

Let me once again get to the root of this question... In Psychology emotions are the result of evolutionary adaptation and social construction. According to this theory There are "Basic Emotions" which are defined as being "species-typical psychological responses that evolved to serve various challenges faced by our ancestors".

Psychologists have made different categorizations for those Basic Emotions with small variations but the most famous of these are the so called "Big Six", used in Paul Ekman’s research on pancultural recognition of emotional expressions in 1969. They are happiness, sadness, fear, surprise, anger, and disgust.

The many emotions we know are all either sub-emotions of those six Basic Emotions or a combination of two or more. People's reaction to each one of those Basic Emotions differ So while some will be closer to the edge by anger others might react strongly to Happiness or Sadness (remember those guys dying of heart attacks in football games).

But for me I'll have to agree with the majority of Answerers here... I believe that Anger must be one of the most challenging and dangerous Emotion of all.

Defiantly anger.

When people hit a nerve with me, I just go off on them. Which is completely unlike me, normally I just ignore stupid remarks & stutch. But if its about something I'm passionate about, or something negative about a friend, I fly off the handle.

Badly channeled it can make you feel angry against yourself and others, it makes you feel envious of others, it can make you hate your life and gives you this feeling that you wanna quit trying, it makes you childish, whiny and useless

If properly handled it can help you be a better person, it can be used as a motivation to pursue higher land, to have a better quality of life.

WOW! Everyone seems to say anger! I guess I am the only one who is going to differ and stand out as a freak .. as usual! hehehe

Personally I have pretty good control over my anger in the sense that I don't let it take over my actions and make me say or do something dumb ... but holding it back can drive me to the edge in the sense that I suffer physically getting migraines, colon trouble and heartburn ...etc.

What can make me act irrationally is love, or to be more specific fear for my loved ones. I go totally nuts worrying and always imagine worst case scenarios :(
