Which nation do u repsect the most? |
i repects the Japanese for number of reasons but they main reasons is coz they transformed their country from a complete mess after bieng bombed TWICE with an atomic bomb to one of the most developed if not THE most developed+ they are realy friendly and polite. shouldnt lebanon learn something from Japan? Additional Details LOL, i thought the USA destroying countries and never built them, actualy what the USA does is it destroys 90% of country and then help build 5%. The USA as well as most countries never helps without expecting anything in return.

I 'm afraid I don't share your admiration for Japan to the same extent as you do...
While on the one hand their achievements over the last 50 years , commercially , have been amazing , their social conscience has been nonexistant ! Take for example their attitude to whaling ..as a people they see no end to depleting any natural resource if there is a market for it & have no long term vision .
If I have to choose a nation above all others I can go no further than this amazing country that I call home...I have the deepest respect for this young country & its' people ..their resilliance when under pressure , our contribution to needy nations , our contribution in areas like science , technology , agriculture , our generosity in the aftermath of natural disasters ....
For such a small country (population 20m ), our contribution to the world at large is enormous .
I am proud to call Australia home ... |

You could say similar about Germany after their country was destroyed by the war and having built it up again.
Not sure the 'friendly and polite' applies there though. |

Turkey. Just coz every time I hear something about the country turkey, I picture the "gobble gobble" kind of turkey as their president, giving a speech to a country ful of turkeys.
Plus I like thanksgiving.
And Im hungry right now, which doesnt help. I guess I could say I also respect hungary right now, since we have something in common. |

even though i do was born and raised and stilll live in usa... i personally hate it. i mean yeah it has a lottt of fun things and greast jobs and education but i mean look what it does to other countries and look how lazy the people are. i really respect china and japan cuz they did alot and are probably going to become a better country instead of the u.s. only because the newer generation isnt willing to much while china and japan's kids are working veryyyy hard. |

Perhaps you should consider the USA as they helped rebuild those nations mentioned by you and the other answerers. During the time after WW2, America took it upon themselves not only to protect those nations but to also rebuild their infrastructure and industry. You can give them all the credit you want, but where would they be without the USA?
In regards to your additional information directed to me...what's the source of your information? The US was pulled into WW2 BY Japan, they sought war and received it in turn. In what time of history prior to our win has the victor EVER lifted the vanquished back up and given them everything they needed to THRIVE at the cost of their own nation. During the 70's American intellectual property rights were GIVEN to the nation of Japan to help their economy. Do you think their TV and electronics industry came from nowhere? Not a chance, it was given to them by America to bolster their nation at the cost of our own. I was alive then and remember the debates. Read some history. |

I have to agree with you....
But I dont think "respect", is the world i should use to say that. I prefer to say "admire", because I admire the way they developed after the war, .... the strengh, determination and attitude to face the future,... and not only that,.. they became the 1st. country in technology devices production. |

I view Iran with very high esteem and honor .
Japan has one the highest suicide rates in the world so obviously industrial development doesn't necessarily translate to happiness and contempt.
you have a very materialistic view of life if you judge a nation only by it's economic achievements. |
