I would definitely say starving yourself and never losing a single pound is worse.
People never say horrible things about slim people, they always have an opinion or something nasty to say about fat people. And a lot of times it affects the persons self esteem.
I would enjoy the fact that you can eat and not gain weight. Your metabolism is fast and hence the weight does not stick, not everyone can be so fortunate.
Look at the majority of answers above mine - they all rather have the first option eat a lot and never gain a pound. |

Tell your fat friend her life sucks. But don't ditch her, when you hang out with her she makes you look that much better. |

starving yourself and never losing weight...your body will NOT lose weight by starving yourself & its SO unhealthy...
If your eating a lot and not gaining weight that probably just mean you have a fast metabolism, which is great! |

No. 2
cos no one needs to gain like 20 Kgs, You may need some kilos.
But when you do all your best to lose weight and you can't that's when you'll eat more and gain more weight. |

it all depends on the person.
what if i am skinny as hell, nothing but skin and bones, and i eat a great deal but still cannot gain a single pound, then i would think this is really terrible.
similarly, if i am disgustingly fat and starving myself without losing an inch.....i would be very depress.
now u tell me wish is worse? |

This is an important question for America in general.
If you are are active you can burn off all the calories that you take in. You can maintain your weight even though you eat a large volume of food. Micheal Phelps eats enough for two or three people but he is an Olympic swimmer. He does not gain weight. So there is nothing wrong with eating a lot to sustain your energy level.
The idea of starving yourself leads to binge eating and starving cycles.
This is unhealthy. If you don't eat you will loose weight because your body is constantly burning calories. You can not sustain your weight without eating. This is physiologically not possible. You can only survive a short time without eating. If someone says they are not eating but are maintaining their weight then I would say that they are not counting all their food intake.
Starving yourself is very very harmful. I suggest you or anyone else not attempt it. If you have a friend who is starving themselves try to help them. This is a very dangerous course of action. I hope whoever is reading this does not think starvation is a solution to loosing weight. It is a path to sickness or even death.
Eating with healthy exercise = good
Starvation = bad.
