Which one you choose China or Israel?

This two country is my most dream place to visit for a vacation, now I am confused which one to choose since the resources will only allow one place for the next 4years. China is a long time dream to have a walk on the great wall of China and Israel coz want to visit Jerusalem where Christ is born. Please justify your answer thank you.....

Jesus was born in Bethlehem if I'm not mistaken.
I don't know much about China but i do know that Chinese people like to spit a lot.so where would like to visit?where saliva is on every step or where honey and milk flow in the streets:)
Now for real,go where your heart tells you to...

kamali
china is more save

Candy M
I say china because everything there is cheap because labor is cheap.

Israel. Your religious convictions draw you to Jerusalem and you should follow that impulse; there is nothing more important than faith. As to the Wall of China, you won't see anything you haven't seen a thousand times in photographs. China is an exciting country to visit but given a choice - and particularly if religion is a factor - I'd pick Israel. But of course I'm biased since I'm Jewish.

Zoggers
Neither

Warren S
I have been to and enjoyed both but my personal preference is Israel.

I've been to China and it was pretty cool. And I too have walked on the Great Wall of China. It was an amazing experience. It's actually really steep and kind of slippery in parts so make sure you wear good shoes! Israel and China are so different, I can't imagine how you could even choose. I have never been to Israel, but it is definitely on my list of places to visit before I die. The main reason I went to China was because my school had a study abroad program there. It is amazing how different the cultures are. China is really cheap. $1 is worth 7 Yuan. You can fly to Beijing from Shanghai and back with a hotel stay over the weekend for around $200. I was able to travel all over China because it was so cheap, including Hong Kong, which is way different than mainland China. If you do travel within China, you should use Chinese travel websites when you get there because that is where all the good deals are like elong.net.

I know the Shekel is a pretty good deal on the US Dollar as well, but I'm not sure the conversion. The food was sub-par in China to be honest and I love traditional Chinese food. It's just very different. The pollution is also really bad. If I were you, I would try to go to both places in your lifetime because they are so different and both places would be an amazing experience. I liked the people in China though. They were really nice. They all wanted to take my picture, so now I'm in lots of Chinese people's photo albums. Ha ha! I did stick out though. I am tall and have long blonde hair. They really liked my hair and called me golden-hair girl. :)

Also, China has quite the communication barrier. It was fun sometimes, but it can be frustrating other times when it is really important. Also, don't get in any trouble in China. There is no reciprocity with the US and they don't give you rights like they do in the US and Israel.

And both places can be very safe or not safe at all. It depends on how you behave, which parts you go to, and using common sense! I knew someone who got detained in China for being in the wrong place at the wrong time. So just a word to the wise for all those who think China is exactly how they portrayed it on the Olympics. There is definitely an ugly side to China that I won't go into. I saw some things that would shock you. Every country has positive and negative attributes.

I would go to China it seems like it would be safer and not many suicide bombers

All these people saying China is safer than Israel don't know what they are talking about.
China is not that safe nor will you be welcomed out side the tourist zone. Food poisoning is common. Been there done that.
You have already seen all there is to see about the great wall on tv. There is only a small stretch kept up for tourist anyway.
You want to see Chinese and be safe go to Singapore. You want to lie on beaches and relax come here to the Philippine Islands.
I would choose Israel. China is disappointing.

Liav Kfir
who said Israel is dangerous ?

thank god it's OK here..
and manny people travel here

have fun wherever you will decide to travel to

Aaron
If you go to China you will come back with a disease of some kind, go to Israel.

Haff
China, at least China has it's own culture, unlike Israel, which steals other people's land and culture.

Israel, for the same reasons that you listed, but also to see other places of interest. And, because of the current political interests that are currently taking place in that area.

Israel, because i loved being there before and i would love to go back again. Seriously though, its just amazing being in Israel, seeing the Holy Land, experiencing the middle eastern culture, and poking around in the ruins (Caesarea, Masada, etc). The old city of Jerusalem and surrounding area can be explored extensively on foot. The arab markets are just... its so different and very interesting. If you do go, make sure to go to Yad Vashem (holocaust memorial)... so worth a visit.

As for suicide bombers... your chance of dying from a bomb is really low. Yes, it happens, but not as much as you'd think. The best thing to do is walk as much as possible and stay away from nightclubs. We were there during a very tense time (political gaffes and posturing during a holy day kind of set off some fighting) and by taking reasonable precautions (not taking the bus to Jericho and staying away from the wailing wall) we didn't have any problems. We felt really safe, which is saying something when its your first trip outside of north america.

Curious why so many thumbs down... i never said i don't like China, just that i prefer Israel. After all, she asked WHY i would choose one or the other. As for security... as i've been there and done that, i actually know what i'm talking about.

Mila P
I would go for Israel

peacey
jesus was born in beit lechem (bethlehem), not jerusalem.

and you can't visit bethlehem, the palestinians control it and it's not safe for tourists.

Beautiful Sunset
I have sworn to God (I am Christian too) that I will never visit israel until the jews sign a peace treaty with the Palestinian people.
I believe China deserves 2 trips since it's so huge in size.
So I would go twice in China and be an expert among my friends, LOL!
bye bye

I would suggest going to Israel. Should Iran develop nuclear weapons the future of Israel cannot be guaranteed, Iran does not even recognize Israels existence so it would be better to go now and wait on visiting China.
