I have lived in Lusaka, Zambia and visited other towns there; Botswana where I lived in Selebi Phikwe but have been to Francistown, Gaborone, etc.. I lived in Johannesburg and in Cape Town for 20 years and during that time I visited many other places such as Kimberley, Durban, Port Elizabeth, Pretoria, etc. in South Afica . I have been to Lake Malawi and Zimbabwe, where two of my children went to school near Bulawayo when we lived in Botswana. Also been to Harare and the Victoria Falls, Nairobi, Khartoum, Monrovia. Best place of all was Cape Town with Botswana a close second.

I went on safari in Namibia last summer.
Started off in Windhoek and went to most
of big attractions such as Sossusvei,Damaraland,
Etosha National Park and The Skeleton Coast.
The Dunes are absolutely breathtaking and the
wildlife I saw left me wanting to come back again !

The only negative about the whole trip was the
airline lost my luggage both ways ! So it pays to
carry your valuables plus a change of clothes
in your carry on bag . The airline paid for what was
lost but it was an inconvenience to replace things
twice.

I live in North Africa, in a country situated between Libya and Algeria. It contains the northern most point of Africa on the Medditeranean Sea.

I live in a major tourist resort town. One of the filming locations for Monty Python's Life Of Brian was at the local Ribat. The former Tunisian president Habib Bourguiba was born here, and his mausoleum is built here. I live in المـنسـتير‎ (Al-Munastîr) or Monastir - however you want to call it. I live in Tunisia!

Here's some pictures of the town I live in:

Greetings from Mali, Africa!

First time I visited africa was about 10+ years ago, and I been coming ever since.
Africa is not what most people think; yes, there is poverty and misery, but there are also beautiful cities, amazing sights and great people.

I been to the Sahara and Kalahari deserts and climbed the Kilimjaro, been on safaris, river cruises and camel rides in the desert.
Some of the African countries I been to are: Morocco, Senegal, The Gambia, Mauritania, Tunisia, Ghana, Nigeria, Ivory Coast, Guinea, Tanzania, Kenya, Angola and South Africa.

If you have a chance, visit Africa, you'll enjoy it.
(and if you are wondering am white american of european ancestry)

I have been to Egypt in February, on a cruise (a gift trip from my nanny). I didn't like the people at all, and even someone at the help desk on the boat said that on one trip 2 Egyptian men FROM THE BANK came to change the money of the clients, they took it and got off the boat saying they were going to change it, as they had done before, but LEGGED IT! The places I see were nice, but there is rubbish everywhere. As we were on the coach passing in a city, I see 2 children in the "garden", they were about 4 and 2 years old, SITTING ON A HEAP OF RUBBISH... It's terrible!
If you only look at the places, holiday places, I suppose it's OK, but I didn't like seeing them poor children in that mess
