Real Heroes:

People who put their life on the line for complete strangers, not out of any self interest:

Fire Fighters, Policemen, Military(active duty and retired), missionaries, and

Those who are trying to better the world for all mankind:

Scientists and doctors working to cure cancer, AIDS, and other diseases, those who work to feed, shelter, clothe the poor, and teach them to become self sufficient, teachers, nurses, nurses aides, anyone who works at improving the lives of the elderly and affirmed

to me i think MOTHERS are real heroes for all they sacrifice for their homes and their husband and their children

why dont we start awarding mothers and house wives for all the hard work they do

I know this sounds really cheesy but it's true, i have to say my husband is my true heroe and to all husbands out their you guys don't get enough credit so here's to thumbs up!

RON PAULLLLLLLLLL, the only important figure that ran for the republican nomination who wanted smaller government, the abolishment of the federal reserve, no more funding to our arab allies and isreal, bring american troops home from all over the world, no more nation building, make friends with other countries instead of invading them, go back to the gold standard.
The list goes on and on, the guy had the guts to stand up to the establishment and spoke up against what we did that was wrong and wanted to make our country and the world a better place for our children to live in. This is a real hero to me

Putin and Bush are no heroes. Bush has Iraq and Putin has Chechnya both are evil people with evil agendas. So called "War on terrorism" is the bigest joke ever. Bush talking about democracy. Bush lets Turkey do the same things that Saddam Hussein did to the kurds. So there is the "democracy" in Iraq.
