because when you talk about someone else and gossip about them, you tend to forget your own problems, faults, weaknesses and it somehow comfort you when you focus on other people's problem.
People who have nothing to do are more prone to that.
but, then again, all people gossip, not just Egyptians.

your right Kalooka,
phsyco, you go to any male orientated work place and men gossip just as much as any woman and egyptian men are just as bad.
gossip makes us feel better about ourselved, though it really shouldnt.

The reality is that they don't love and respect each other still !

One more thing is that the only like the positive stuff but about the negative or what objects their opinions they call it hater and never accept it, and you'll see many thumbs down under my answer. They accept lies and believe it more than the reality/ truth. What more to tell as your eyes can see??

Not just Egyptians... its Human Nature... Humans as social Animals learn through experience... Experience comes either by watching others... or by hearing about their actions.

If you think about this you'll be amazed how much of our daily activities revolves about those two actions (watching sport, Movies, Books, TV, Radio... even here on YA).

So knowing what others do is really part of our genetic evolution... Some take that a little bit further... and Gossip in the bad meaning of the word... But again isn't this only Human!!!
