that is not true, i disagree with you 100%. The only reason why Leb women are seen like that is from the very strict Arab countries, in which their society in enflorced to them to very conservative. And Lebanese girls do NOT dress like streetwalkers, and they are NOT loose, wdf.. how can you judge a country like that.. not only is that rude but completely false!!!!!Most Leb girls i know are conservative according to Western standards. MANY of them remain virgins till marriage!! Tell me one country in Europe,. where the women do that ?? I always see Arabs say that Leb dress slutty, let me ask you, show me ONE video of a Leb girl dressing slutty. My ex was Egyptian and so i have watched plenty of Arab videos (lebanese included) and i didnt see any Leb singer dressing revealing. And may i ask what do you consider revealing to you ?? A simple dress that shows your shoulders is not revealing by Western or American standards. I have watched Haifa's videos, and Arabs think she is a wh0re, well i didnt find one video of her, of wearing something revealing , quiet on the contrary i find her dressing MODEST! Compare the Lebanese singers to any Euro singers and how they dress and act, and then you come see the difference. Lebanese girls dress conservative compared to Euro ones. Just because in many Arab countries, women are ultra conservative doesnt make them without morals, i mean if thats the case, imagine what you would guys think about us Greek girls, or British girls or whatever. The only bad thing is that Lebanon has the 2nd highest plastic surgery per capita, thats really bad for a country, when a foreigner hears this, the first thing he will think is fake, sorry no offense and all but thats the truth. Maybe thats another reason, why Arabs see them like that, but when it comes to what you just said morals, dressing and all that i disagree with you, and if thats the true way you think, then i am guessing Moroccan women must be veryyyyy conservative compared to Lebanese ones!

Well....first at all.....I have enough age as for tell you that if you want to be respected you have to start respecting the other pple. And you are not doing it here.
I'm christian, lebanese....half one, and so sad bcoz I didnt born in Lebanon. I bornt in a free country, democratic , western one, where I live and have my family, but my lebanese father taught me to respect everyone without care which their religion or origin could be..., thing that your father seems not have done with you.
The values....change from one culture to another one. What is good for you is not good for some other pplle in another part of the world.
For example for my moral and good uses i not acceptable for a man to have 4 wives.......and although that, in ur religion is acceptable. I dont agree with it, but i respect it.
You can tell me that not all muslim men have 4 wives.....and i already know that, but is the same that you are doing with us,,,,,GENERALIZING.

You are very well brought up and it shows by the way you are attacking us without us ever doing anything to you. You should go back and read what you wrote, wars have been started on just the things that you have said. Respect starts by accepting the other, his religion and his own customs. People are free to do what they want, to dress as they wish and to follow any religion they choose or even choose not to have any religion. It's not for us mere mortals to judge the others because we are not any better...

As for the "loose" Lebanese women...we have other customs than those that the neighbouring countries so what we see as normal you might see as provocative and I do agree with you that some women push their limits but I am sure the percentage of those women in other neighbouring countries that push their limits is high too, only we don't hide it well.

Lebonese women actually have freedom. They are not generally castrated (mutulated), made to cover up head to foot, are able to travel and be educated, and generally treated more like a human than other Islamic countries.

You know i accept islam some years ago and i was born catholic, and during that time i use to wear in a "modern way" even sometimes i was wearing miniskirt...but my way of dress in that time did not made me be a slutty as you are critizicing lebanes woman, i fact i was keeping my morals very high and i always tryed to do what my religion in that time ask me to do... now i am muslim and i accepted the religion because i accepted the fact La illaha illah wa ashadu ana Mohamed wa rasull Allah, and i accept all things that islam ask me to do for being a good muslim.. and the beliefe in One God is the only thing that still keep me professing Ä°slam and will be keep me as a muslim forever..Moreover when i see brothers and sister like you i got angry and dissapointed because you guys think that critizing the behaivors of non muslim people is the best way to show that muslim are better people, i use to strongly believed that wearing nikab was a way to show modesty from another people, but there have been several times i attended some walimas with arabs sisters and turks sisters and some of them were nikabi and i was wearing modesty and just with my modest cotton hijab, and suddenly i noticed that as soon they get in to the home of the meeting they took off their nikab and wow!! in their internal clothes they were wearing minidresses lots of gold and whatever so i feel that the only stupid was me because was really wearing as islam says..and i will remain stupid forever...so where is the modesty you are talking about???, i am sorry i know very well that is sin to talk bad thing about our brothers and sister but since you are trying to do dawah by critizing another people that beliefe diferent than you i can not more that oppose your point of view and mostly because i am sure you are one of that sisters who are fighting to get the rights of be free of wearing hijab in a non muslim country as i do too, but i am 100% convinced that to be accepted as my way i am dressing and to get the right of go to university or work with hijab i have to respect the freedom of the other to wear and think as they wish...and last if you are not able to be tolerant why dont you go to Iran or Saudi Arabia and settle down there i am sure that your eyes will be clean from seeing woman that you qualified "street woman" in that places...i feel sorry for islam because thanx to people like you the "others will run away of this nice relÄ±gion" and astaghfirullah for critizicing you but you deserved and i accept my mistakes...Allah knows best...

I have heard similar things about Lebanese people - guys and girls. BUT immorality runs rampant every where. It is just in Moslem countries they cut off limbs and kill people for many things. You see so they are more scared to do things in the open.

I totally agree with you ...you come across as very opinionated but that's okay , as long as you are fair.
I also have been to Lebanon & I think that you have made some assumptions that are illogical .
For example , how did you decide who was Christian & who muslim...? Was it simply a case of who was wearing an hijab or not ...?
Trust me , only a small percentage of Muslim women there wear it & one thing that really amused me was to see very trendy young women wearing the latest in flesh hugging designer type clothes that left NOTHING to the imagination , yet wearing the hijab ...what is that all about ?
Understand that these days many treat their ' religion' as a heritage thing only ....something that they have inherited from their upbringing but not heart based.
It is the same here in the west ...many call themselves Christian but in reality they live as pagans with no practical element to a heart based faith evident in their lives.
However as Kate so rightly pointed out , we are on dangerous ground if we stand in judgment...that is rightly God's job !
