Why are people in Lebanon buring the Palestinian flag?

Ha, i answered a question the other day with somedude randomly saying lebanon went down the drain the minute they allowed palestinian refugees in it

as if we arent going through enough, we are used as scapegoats for problems in the world now...like seriously we are too busy trying to find food to eat, we have our own jacked up political problems and yet people find a way to blame us for theirs too, i sometimes wonder what we did to deserve this, , we are slaughtered and opressed for 60 yrs and everyone sits on their behinds and watches like u would watch insects being exterminated or whatever

like okay so there was a sort of civil war in lebanon that we played a role in, but whatever it happened get over it thats history

and then to that Susan M person or whoever said there are Palestinians in Hezbollah (im too lazy too check im too busy causing civil wars in random countries since im palestinian i might as well be blamed for the the next random conflict in the world..) anyways

there might be a few Palestinians in it, but remember its like 99% Lebanese,
I think the world needs to stop pointing fingers , act like big kids now and be responsible for their own issues

of course palestinians aint perfect, im not saying we are alot of us are klaab no doubt about that but u cant bury our flag and blame us for every little thing

but hey i been dealin with this sorta junk since i was 9 or 10, racism and what not, so its like whateveer..im 100% palestinian and hella proud of it!!

Michael S: Have been all through youtube and facebook and lived in Lebanon for 3 years to witness that. I don't think for one min. that many in Lebanon feel any sympathy for the Palestinians. Thank you for taking it upon yourself to remind us that "your community in Lebanon is one of the most hated". And Lebanon keeps wondering why all the hate and why Lebanon cannot unite, with all this hate going around one begins to understand. Peace!

I suppose it was also the Palestinians that made the Phalangelist Party let Israel to come into the country and have control all the up to Beirut. And remind me again who killed thousands of woman and children in Sabra and shatila? The civil war included all factions fighting. Not one party was innocent. Not one can be blamed alone. When Lebanon is busy blaming Hezbollah, blaming Iran, blaming Israel, blaming Syria, blaming the Palestinians, but all Lebanon is completely innocent. Come on.

the ones who brought the "terrorists" into the Palestinian camps in the North (Nahr el Bared) and South (Ain el Hilwi) are the Hariri family .. in the South they're called "jnood el sitt" referring to MP Sitt Baheya Hariri, sister of the late Rafiq Hariri ... they were brought and planted in the Palestinian camps. In Nahr El Bared the Fata7 Islam turned the table on them .. 'cuz these people can't be trusted (Wahhabi Salafi.)

Those who blame the Palestinians for the 1975 war might have a certian point of view, but it wasn't just the Palestianians. Don't tell me Bostet Ain El Rimmeneh ALONE was the cause of the war ... till now no one knows exactly why it happened. and those were different times ... Arafat did mistakes by fighting in Lebanon and Jordan instead of aiming towards fighting the Israelis alone ... but i don't know much about it cuz i wasn't born yet ...

I saw that in CNN.com video and I had to rewind the video clip several times to believe they were doing this, but sadly they were. Lebanese have the tendency of blaming their turmoil on other people, (Palestinians, Saudis, Syrians, Iranian, and Egyptians). Palestinians have nothing to do with their current predicament. Lebanon is a corrupt country. Most killers who are accused of crimes against humanities are tried and executed. In Lebanon, war criminals are awarded the presidency (Bachir Gemeyel, responsible for Karantina and Tell Azzater massacres over 5,000 people dead) or a parliament seat, Ellie Hobeika, responsible for the worst crimes against humanity in modern history, the murders and rapes in Sabra and Shatila that left 8,000 Palestinians dead and over a 1000 women raped. He gets a seat in the Parliament and a minister post. So what they should expect? When criminals are in power they will fight each other, and brainwashed Lebanese rather than going after the real corrupt (Amin Gemayel, Sameer Gagaga, Nabih Berry, and so on) they are back blaming Palestinians.

I didn't see any burning of Palestinian flags, but its truly amazing to know that all Middle East problems are caused by them!
To hear this from Israelis I would understand but to hear it from a Lebanese it makes me laugh, Lebanon the smallest Arab country have been in desirae since 1910 or even before with gazillion parties and trillion religions and denominations was never united! Yes the Palestinians in Lebanon are not the best neighbors but if you think they came to Lebanon voluntary or they are happy to be in Lebanon you are mistaken!
What really shocks me is pointing all the blame to them and completely forgetting all the ethnic conflicts in Lebanon, forgetting your Israeli neighbors how courteous they were to your country!

I never seen any current pictures of that, but back during the Lebanon civil war it was pretty common for Lebanese to burn the Palestinian flag since Palestinians started the civil war, turning a modern civilized country into a somali like slum hole

As Susan M pointed out Hezbollah has Palestinian members.

Once again sadly the Palestinians regardless of their individual beliefs are attacked by fanatics!

I have read about the Trouble in West Beirut but only fanatics could seriously beleive burning a flag is going to be more than an insult!

Palestinians and Iranian Shiites(Hezbollah) have been causing civil wars in Lebanon for decades. There has been a diaspora from Lebanon to the rest of the world. It is wrong that the Lebanese have to endure such turmoil.

To the Palestinians on yahoo answers lebanon, don't think for one second everyone in Lebanon sympathizes with you. Your community started a civil war, harbors terrorists in their camps, and are, behind Hezbollah, the most armed people in the country, thus serving as a threat to many Lebanese. Michel Aoun, Samir Geagea, Saad Hariri, and I think Hezbollah have pointed out the latter.

Not trying to sound racist or anything, because I'm a supporter of the Palestinian cause (to an extent). But why would this action surprise you? I mean, your community in Lebanon is one of the most hated. The Shi'ites fought you. The Christians fought you. The foreigners (Israelis and Syrians) fought you. The Sunnis have stood by your side but even nowadays they've started to abandon your cause as they're caught up in our political crisis.

You spent your 60 years in Lebanon burning Lebanese flags, stirring up trouble, executing innocents, and for some reason, many of you like to believe everyone in Lebanon loves you. No.

Just telling it as is. In the mean time, bless you guys in your struggle. You're not going to find me yelling out "DEATH TO ISRAEL" like a crazed fanatic bas I do think you guys should return to your homes.
